Ford is a company with a long track record. Tesla was a niche company, whose niche is now being filled by offerings from many established car companies, and also a significant number of new companies.

In 2024 Ford made over 2 million vehicles. The value of Ford is $37 billion.
In 2024 Tesla made 1.8 million vehicles. The value of Tesla is $883 billion.

Why on earth is Tesla valued and more than 20 times Ford? Does anyone want to buy Tesla shares at the current level?
the Tesla trade is based on prospects of self driving cars, potential for software licencing and replacing private vehicles with a large fleet of automated cabs.

as your numbers show, it's certainly not on the basic car sales business.

NSC is a good example these days of values as opposed to censorship.

In the days where I was on Facebook (I left because I didn't like the way they were headed) I found that a group that didn't accept folk who made nasty and unfounded comments was a thriving group. NSC is the same. For every one person chucked off there will be multiples that start posting.

There is a difference between allowing people to express their thoughts and allowing people to turn places into Lord of the Flies. A lot of people who really don't like it are actually saying 'Why can't we be nasty and call people names or make unfounded accusations ?'. Well, they can. But elsewhere. And what percentage of NSC has been chucked off ? not even 2% I would have thought.
You are having a laugh. these threads are a haven for nasty unfounded comments and there are not a multitude of people starting posting. This place looks little more than on life support seeing it cant muster 1% of a home gate.

@Bozza better tell those 5,276 folk currently online that NSC is little more than on life support. I'm sure some would like to send messages of encouragement

You'll be unhappy to know then that X has already approved more government censorship requests than Twitter ever did.

Not to mention the fact that using the prefix "cos" gets you shadowbanned on X. It's a problem in the scientific community as it's used a decent amount but Elon's fragile ego gets hurt so he censors stuff.

Nobody is as pro censorship as the right wing. Free speech only ever applies to them.
I dont care if X complies with 83% of requests from Turkey, I care about the volume of requests in what are supposed to be free societies.

members: 737 that is a touch over 2% at peak time on a match day with a win. NSC is vulnerable to a well run alternative that is clear.while their team is playing.
What's happened here is that you have been embarrassed so many times on here that you have stopped trying to debate people and are now attacking the platform.

Silly sausage.

It has been tried and failed. That's because most folk consider NSC well run. That's why threads have tens of thousands of views.

What would a well run alternative look like ? Truth Social ?

Most folk who don't like NSC have a problem with it because they don't like not being allowed to be nasty or indulge in various phobias and isms.

A site run by Crawley Dingo would be a sight to behold.

All I can say is there is nothing about NSC that causes me concern in its moderation. It might be because I never feel the need to post something that would see me the wrong side of it.

I have contacts here, politically, who are left of centre and some right of centre. The only folk who I don't get on with are those who are, well, nasty and full of harmful ideologies. But they get chucked off. Even then, it's only about, say, 1-2%.

It's always confusing to know why the 5% who seem to get upset about moderation struggle to see what the 95% who don't are so comfortable with.

It was like when I ran a Facebook group with about 300-400 regular/semi regular posters on it. There were no more than ten who trolled or behaved in an unreasonable manner or said things others were unhappy with. All the reported posts were from the same tiny group They just couldn't see why everyone else had a problem with it.

This isn't your first incarnation on here. So may I ask, if you believe your needs would be better served elsewhere, what brings you back ?

But you said that X was a place for free speech? It clearly isn't though is it if they're approving censorship requests. In fact if it was such a bastion of free speech then surely they would make even more of a point of rejecting censorship requests, but they don't because they don't actually care about "free speech".

I especially notice how you didn't reply to the second part of my comment, the part about how using a singular prefix gets you shadowbanned.

So much for free speech eh?

I saw a bit of his 'thing' at Cpac today. Jesus, his sink joke etc. was bad enough but that was just...I cringed so hard I'm basically inside out now.
I couldn't watch all of the Trump Zelensky shit show because it made me too angry. I couldn't watch all of Musk at Cpac because it made me too embarassed.
If you haven't seen any of it, treat yourself.

West is BEST
Just as the telegraph and radio communications sped up the commencement of WW1, social media will speed up the onset of WW3.
