I saw Russell Howard in Munich yesterday. I was wearing an Albion cap, and the guy two seats along from us was also an Albion fan. He told us that John Bishop was playing in Munich in April - so tickets are booked.

I cant get on with John Bishop - he gives me too many Jamie Carragher vibes, and I cannot stand THAT man.
Plus, hes a Liverpool fan, and I cannot stand them either. So all in all, two very spurious reasons for me to dislike him - and thats where I am. ;-)

Most definitely something to do with his accent, my soul sinks when I hear a scouse accent especially out of the country, first thing I do if sat by a pool or at a bar is check my phone is within reach and my wallet is still where it should be, and that ain't no lie.

To many bad experiences with them for me to change my mind or hatred for the accent.

Mrs D and I had tickets for this, but we're at (hopefully) the beginning of the end of a particularly nasty cold/flu type bug, which has us coughing our guts up at regular intervals, and obviously at least opportune moments. Can't see the Scouser being overly impressed had we gone, our hacking coughs spluttering all over his punchlines!

Gave the tickets to my brother-in-law so they didn't go to waste.

I saw Bishop at the Brighton Centre a few years ago, as at the time I thought he was funny. Don't think anyone even giggled the whole night. He kept on about how good he was, he wasn't, and how his lighting engineer had gone off to work for U2, this joke lasted most of the show.

What set did he do? Saw him in Southend a few years back where all the chat was about his family life,it sounded very far fetched at the time but quite funny then at the end he walked off and a cinema sized screen showed pretty much everything that happened in his set actually happened as he had a whole year of his life recorded on tape,not betamax sadly.

I’ve had some professional dealings with JB.
He’s from Runcorn so not really a scouser.

From my dealings with him he’s a decent bloke, very down to earth and genuinely funny even when not in front of an audience.
