So...

I go to get me glasses to put on and walk up the shop. I can't find them. They are normally in one of three places. Not so today. I'm pretty organised and hunting them down never takes long. Nothing, nil. They have vanished.

Most frustrating as I need them to drive, although other road users may be relieved.

So, in desperation, I now need left field suggestions to find my elusive extra eyes. Where better place than NSC.

No, they are not on my nose- I did make that mistake once before.

Where do you recall last seeing them?

Phone your optician (assuming you can read what the number is) and then ask them to knock up replacements. Should only cost around £200.

An afterthought - if you can type your post and read the responses, why do you need specs?

I feel like my fellow NSCers have not treated your plight with sufficient reverence.

Let me try to redress that.

Could you have left them on an Occasional Table?
Might they be on your Chaise Longue?
Do you have an Armoire? If so, might it be either atop or inside there?
Have you considered looking inside your Credenza?

Let me know if any of those yield the result you seek.

inside pocket of an outdoor jacket, fridge (unlikely but has been known), bathroom shelf, behind sofa near tv remotes, one of several cubby holes in your car.
Sounds like they are for distance, but if you need them for reading, then next to medicine packets, food packets or anything with small print on it.

When did you last poor a Scotch ? Or Baileys or a cheeky brandy… Your glass will be there.

They’ll be down the side of your seat in the car, thats where everything goes.
