The dull part of the south coast
The only time (I believe!) that the Albion played a competitive home game wearing red shirts. Name the occasion and why.
The Albion wore red shirts with white sleeves (a la Arsenal) against Chelsea in the 1967 FA Cup 4th round tie at the Goldstone. At the time the FA stipulated that if there was a colour clash between the two sides BOTH would have to change their strip. Chelsea played in white shirts and blue shorts.

Was it this game?

"20,000 Brighton supporters went to a reserve game to ensure tickets for the big game, which was a 35,000 sell-out in their first ever all-ticket game".
More! 22,000 went through the turnstiles to grab the cup ticket and also pay to watch the ‘stiffs’ play Notts County. Our lovely club being money grubbing buggers eh! I also remember some blokes on the Hove station footbridge selling pirate souvenir match programmes to unsuspecting fans. As it was a 1-1 draw at the Goldstone the replay was at Stamford Bridge which Chelsea won 4-0 in front of 54,000 - a combined attendance of 89,000 - the magic of the Cup.

Estimated 10,000 locked out of the replay, and I was one of them!

You obviously didn't notice my wink emoji when I wrote out that list...

But in trying to be a smart alec by leaving out the obvious candidate, I accidentally left out Paul Ince
I wouldn't have got Paul Ince.
