Do they believe this,or do they expect us to believe it?

€315? That's a quarter of a £billion! No, I don't suppose there's a grain of truth in it, but it's still an eye-watering amount!

For a start Strasbourg have an obligation to buy Barco.

I can understand why Chelsea desperately want a different LB! Maybe they could buy Barco from Strasbourg if they bid high enough. Based on our experience, he could be a perfect fit for the Chelsea club culture.
You do know who owns Strasbourg, right?… 😶

That would mean Dodderly Bonerly's contribution to the BHAFC coffers would equate to half a Billion quid or so. Give or take the odd few million.

Never has the expression 'more money than sense', ever been more appropriate.

Actually that would probably represent a pretty good (aka common sense) move for Chelsea (in the unlikely event that they could pull it off, of course).

Surprised the article didn't include JPH and Verbruggen, given that Chelsea clearly need a decent keeper and centre back.
Yes, that makes it particularly implausible. I'm sure Chelsea will buy big this summer but goalie, CB and striker are high on the list. Now, a bid to buy Evan - I could understand that.

I'm sure they'd like Mitoma but their schtick these days is 7 year contracts to amortise the cost, I can't see them giving a 28 year-old that sort of deal.

Monorails don’t pay for themselves, you know.
I have it on good authority that they do in fact pay for themselves.
