Played at the wonderful new 3G facility at Three Bridges.

Attendance: 157

A a good game of football with an entertaining second half. Excellent facilities, did find it very weird how small the pitch was. Great bar facilities with reasonably priced beer.

Admission: £8

Worthing are f*cking class. That is all.

Up the rebels!

65th ground visited. First away game with a big group of my mates. My god I’ve missed away games.

Most of the lads I’ve gone with are big 6 plastic fans before watching Worhing. It was their first proper away games and they’ve all loved it. Tbh it’s been one of my favourite away games too; up there with 7000 to MK and a few others.

Something special brewing in BN14. The only non-full time in the scrum for top spot, but player for player I think Worthing are the best team in the league. . Some bloody squad.

Worthing v Torquay for me tonight. Three of us going, one Brighton, one Spurs and one Villa but all with a soft spot for Worthing (the Villa fan lives very near Woodside Road).

The first time I will have seen a non league team play a league match against a team I’ve seen Brighton play in the league and the first time I’ve ever bought a non league ticket in advance. Looking forward to it.

Yes it was weird seeing Worthing play Rochdale the other week- a team I've seen play Brighton on countless occasions and from whom we initially signed Glenn Murray

Also had Yeovil last season who have played a league game against Brighton at the amex !

Entertaining game at Worthing last night. Went along particularly to watch Sam Beard as he is currently coaching my son every week. Straight red for him :ROFLMAO:

Definitely an entertaining game, though if I were a hardcore Worthing fan I'd have been spitting at them throwing away a win in injury time. Four goals, two red cards and some real quality with an excellent move ending in a headed goal for Worthing's second and a brilliant free kick for Torquay's opener. Beard's red was deserved, a result of a fairly industrial challenge. Worthing then managed to play a long through ball and get a Torquay centre back sent off to even it up, for a combination professional foul and rugby tackle. At that point Worthing lost the initiative rather than kicking on and gave away a silly penalty on 90+2.

Of the ex-Albion contingent I thought Spong was excellent, particularly in the first half, with a lot of play going through him and being in the right place most of the time. Cashman was less impressive and was deservedly subbed after an innocuous second half.

A bit sad to see segregation, which also meant a walk all round the ground for us to get to the new terrace (not helped by the fact that four grown adults with a combined age of nearly 200 managed to miss the train over and arrived in the ground three minutes into the game). Apparently down to Torquay's "rep". I thought they took a good number given the distance for a midweek non-league game. And, given that. most of the away end looked like aging ground hoppers rather than hardcore ultras. Maybe @jackalbion knows more, being an occasional Torquay watcher?

Anyway, beer, goals, cards, set pieces, a chat with the Roar boys afterwards and Spurs, Villa and Brighton fans united in their disappointment in the way it finished. Top night out.

It would be great to see both Sussex sides getting promotion this year. Conference South will come down to who has the nerve with 5 games left.

Eastbourne Borough won an entertaining game at Priory Lane against Hampton and Richmond with the Hampton keeper keeping the score down that could easily have been an embarrassing scoreline . Apparrently the keeper was a Chelsea loanee.
This season will go down to the last game

They do travel very well, but like a lot of Lower League clubs the ones who travel are often very dedicated, but ones with enough money and time to do so. Old people or Railway Workers basically :lolol:

Agree with you version of events, plus thought, contrary to other fans, that the ref did a good job and both sending offs were correct. Good vibe and think over 1600 there. Nice beer and burger as well for a reasonable price. Although Worthing born and bred and played them in my very younger days, I can watch them without getting too emotional and angry and as you get older this a big plus. Fair result as well.

Nothing better than a Worthing away day. Annoyed at myself that other plans had meant I missed the trips to Maidstone and Tonbridge, given we haven't many left due to how frontloaded the start of the season was because of the North Stand redevelopment, so I will be doing Slough this weekend despite having to rush off after the game for evening plans back home!

Yes it was weird seeing Worthing play Rochdale the other week- a team I've seen play Brighton on countless occasions and from whom we initially signed Glenn Murray

Also had Yeovil last season who have played a league game against Brighton at the amex !

Managed to tick the rare double of having seen both Albion and Worthing away in a league fixture at Yeovil with that trip to Huish Park last season. The celebrations for Ollie Pearce's goal in added on time to make it 3-1 were some of the wildest all season!

Can't disagree with that, was a very "us" second half in terms of Torquay getting move of a foothold in it. I was annoyed at how we let them back into it, but ultimately a draw was the fair result. Main thing was that they didn't gain anything on us in the race for the title, though Dorking's last minute winner was frustrating to see.

Ball is in our court to make the games in hand count given the goal difference advantage other teams have, but the belief I have in this squad right now to go all the way couldn't be higher. Defensively we've been a totally different side since Joe Partington's arrival - particularly giving Chris Haigh some much needed confidence after a shaky first half of the season from him in goal - and Liam Nash looks a real game changer two games in. Lot of similarities in his game to the qualities Ollie Peace brought to our side.

Just seen it’s £13! for Whitehawk vs. Albion tomorrow in the SSC QF.

Game is at Lancing.
If you can head down do! Should be a good contest, Whitehawk bang in form, great win against Dover at the weekend and a lot of changes for the U21. £13 is about the standard for a Isthmian league game (Lewes, Horsham and Hastings are the same, Dover was £15!), and we won't get any bar takings as the game is being played at Lancing so the only thing they get is gate receipts!

I'll be there with mixed loyalties. Albion STH but also semi-regular at Whitehawk. Hoping Hawks win as the Albion XI don't really need the glory of the Sussex Senior Cup as much as the Hawks do.

Crowborough 5-0 Vardeanians

Wasn't as one sided as it sounds AFCV gave a good account of themselves in the first half. Crowborough went 1 up early doors but it was then a pretty even game until Crowborough got two goals in quick succession just before halftime.

Second half the AFCV team talk went out the window within about a minute of the restart. Crowborough made it 4 which pretty much put the game to bed. Was time for one more and a hattrick for Rushy.

Big game Saturday as we're away to runaway leaders Hassocks. Have already beaten them once this season. Haywards Heath have found some form again so it's starting to hot up at the top.

Hassocks need to bounce back after a poor showing at Crawley Down at the weekend, but Crowborough will be a tough game for sure (these are a good side). Still a 12 point gap at the top but the chasing pack are in good form.

Awful performance in a 2 1 defeat to Southend for Aldershot . Awful view from the bunkered away end as usual . Relegation bound sadly . In other news I got picked out of the ballot for sittingbourne away in the Trophy QF . Aldershot recieved only 195 tickets in a capacity of 1300 ,so had to ballot tickets . How premier lge 😁
