In a pile of football shirts
You also need someone who can get on the end of a long throw. And for us 99 times out of a hundred it’s the opposition who get to the ball on crosses and corners, we are woeful at winning balls in the air.

And probably half of the throw ins we take are foul throws, but at PL level both refs and linos are lax on calling them.
I’m really Not sure if the foul throw rule has been rescinded or not ? The amount you see in a normal match is comical
Edit And we are particularly incapable of legal throws
yet the official s generally ignore it

Big fan of people thinking we won’t find a way to be terrible at these set pieces too

Long throws is criminal. Tony Pullis football. Amazing how all this direct and long ball shite is coming back into the English game. We stopped it because the national team got outplayed every game and then developed a method for youngsters to learn how to play and now the likes of Bellingham, Foden etc, are as good as any player in the world. Now this ugly style of football is rearing it's head again. Dave Bassett might make a comeback.
