Still fence for me.

Chelsea have been terrible in both games since Forest, although 2 good wins, I’ll base my judgement on the Southampton and Bournemouth games, if we can get 6 points from those 2 games then I’ll be the first to admit I may have called it wrong. The real acid test is beating teams we should be and comfortably, starting on Saturday, then maintaining the same standards we’ve shown the past week when Bournemouth come to the Amex. Consistency is key and minimal changes to the starting XI the past 2 games is hopefully a sign of what’s to come rather than the constant changes we’ve seen week in, week out all season. Brave decision to drop Pedro and for that I think he should be commended, Rutter has been superb of late.

Can’t say this with any conviction but I feel the group we have play for each other and the spirit and solidarity comes from within, I’m not convinced they are 100% playing for the manager.

This is only MY OPINION (before I’m shot down in flames)

Happy to stand corrected and I really hope he proves me wrong, but this is the most talented group of players we’ve ever had at the club since we’ve been in the PL IMO, we must have someone that can get the very best out of them.

The Forest result was a huge ‘Red Flag’ for me, I’m not sure 2 wins against a very poor Chelsea side changes my opinion just yet.

Guess that makes me a ‘bedwetter’
Still fence for me but edging towards 'in' after the reaction in last 2 games. Chelsea are no mugs and we have done them twice. Tactics and team selections have been right for both games. Seems a lot of talks have happened since the Forest shocker and so far it's worked. I'm not expecting us to win every game (although hoping we do of course).

Big time shop window Charlie’s our lot or not? all of our home wins have been against the traditional big sides. Man Utd, Spurs, Man City, Chelsea.
If only they applied the same amount of effort against the sides who have struggled all season we would be easily Europe i’ve seen those other games they stroll around expecting to win and that’s on themselves and the manager.
The above set of home wins puts to bed for me latest transitional season rubbish, it’s plenty good enough to achieve to top 6/7.

If that intensity drops again next week it will be interesting.
If Fab gets them fired up and we take the points we might be on to something.

So to summarise you’ll support the manager as long as we don’t lose.
Terrible take from you to be fair:

- I’m not convinced that just because we’ve beat a poor Chelsea side twice in a week that he’s now the saviour.

- I’ll support the team win, lose or draw, I won’t support the manager when he makes decisions such as Forest away and some baffling decisions around team selection we’ve seen this season.

- Blinkered view if you believe everything is rosey amongst the squad and behind the scenes and that is still a concern.

So yes, I’m fence at the moment and genuinely hope he is the man to take us forward, rightly or wrongly, I think it’s a far better view to judge him after the Southampton and Bournemouth games.

Same for me, edging towards in - what is a good sign for me is that changes - successful ones - seem to have been made after the debacles; it's happened after the Forest thrashing, just as it happened after the embarrassment away at Chelsea back in September.

Watching MOTD it was noticeable that during the Plucky match the commentator said (something like) "Bournemouth trusted the process with their manager last season in spite of a terrible start and here they are reaping the rewards". Almost every single successful manager needed time - let's at least give him that through the ups and downs and see where it takes us.

Any coincidence that we have picked up results and performance wise, after FH benched Pedro to start Georginio behind Welbeck.

Luck or down to FH seeing what is best for the team currently.

Geoginio and Pedro played against Forest, but we badly missed Baleba.

Pedro's a great player but he's not on it right now, and Georginio is playing better.

We have had a lot of injuries, we have new players and a new manager and they're all learning. We haven't had much of a settled side, but on Friday we played the same team as started the second half the game before. It all helps.

Whilst yes we did miss Baleba he had other options and choose not to use them he could have played the lad Gomez next to Hinsh or MO for and extra midfield body. Just to say we are crap with out Baleba doesn’t work with me. It’s his job to find solutions.

Probably more to do with Georginio being fit enough to play more - FH said he was having to manage his minutes.

Whilst it's his job to find solutions, it'll take time to work out what the alternatives are. Gomez had only just joined us, so he'd never played in a top league, hadn't had a chance to learn our style, and the manager hadn't had much time to see him train. Hinshelwood had also only just come back from injury.

I think some of those baffling team selections were around trying to give minutes to people who desperately needed them, and trying to find the best combinations. Obviously Hinsh being left on his own was fatal, but Baleba and Ayari weren't avaliable and Weiffer and O'Riley were unable to play for 90 minutes. I'm sure he would do it differently, but on the day his hands were pretty tied and it was a perfect storm. I think he has learnt from that.

Gomez was on the bench if you are on the bench then surely if needed you are ready to play? Or does a regular international starter need weeks of ten minute bed in sessions?
Play the lad it’s Forest not Argentina 😏

With two games in four days coming up against Southampton and Bournemouth I would expect a bit of rotation at Southampton to allow Fab to field his strongest XI against Bournemouth.

Possible starts for Gomez and Pedro, and more playing time for O Riley, Adingra and maybe Weiffer?
I'm not sure how brave he can be resting Mitoma, Minteh or Baleba until we are ahead in games.

Gomez said himself last weekend: “I obviously want to get more minutes and be first choice, bit by bit. It was really hard for me in the first training sessions. The pace, the dynamic of training sessions and matches after I had had two months without playing. My last match was in November and I had had plenty of holiday. I got back to training to the maximum and doing what the coach asked of me. I speak a little English. I learn a lot from listening to my teammates. I have been in the USA, where they speak English, but in Miami there are a lot of Latin Americans so a lot of Spanish is spoken. I am studying two or three times a week because it is difficult not being able to understand everything.”
