What a fantastic performance tonight. What I like is that we were much more tactically aware. We knew when to press high, we knew when to go low.
In fact it reminded me of what Forest did to us a few weeks ago. It's almost as though Fab had shown them the video, and said "do that".
I can't fault one single player tonight. I know Mitoma's goal was individual magic (plus a bit of Bart), but the best team performance of the season I would say.
Definitely. Don't know of it was noticeable for those watching on TV, as it may have looked cagey and defensive but, especially in the first half it looked very deliberate. Let them have the ball and mark your man and they'll go nowhere with it. And then when they play it out the back push up really high together and mark them into submission. It was really a disciplined performance, with the attack taking their chances brilliantly.

First time I've been really impressed with a proper tactical approach under FH, I've always felt there was an element of chaos, individual drive, and luck in other wins.

Really good performances across the board, Minteh the pick, but Rutyer was good, Baleba his usual, tariq had the measure of both his opponents, and some exceptional passing from Webster.

I said exactly the same towards the end of the game. We stayed to the final whistle at Forest (and then got VERY pissed on strawberry beer). They’d all f**ked off on 80.

Got home in an hour though so I’m quite grateful to them.

Fancy not sticking around to clap the lads off after this.
We didn't, partly because, if we did, we'd probably still be on our way back now. If that meets with disapproval with anyone, I - and I mean this wholeheartedly - could not give a flying fack.

Absolutely fantastic - worth every ounce of effort and money to get to the match - and incredible atmosphere - took me back to the days of 2022/23. I think quite a few fans will regret not going tonight. I’d cross the globe twice in one day to see Chelsea plastics go from drowning out the East Stand with their arsey ‘we want it all’ to absolute silence - We were convincing and utterly, utterly working as a team. We just got better as the minutes passed. Lamptey, Minteh, Mitoma, Webster, Baleba, everyone doing their part to a man.

I said to a mate I was sitting next to before the first goal, that ‘knocking Chelsea out of the Cup has given us the confidence we need to win again tonight’. Chelsea played much better than they did last week so no excuses, we still beat them because we knew we could.

Just got back, stunning performance from the boys, absolutely top drawer. So solid at the back and clinical up front, our best performance of the season by an absolute mile. Maybe the players needed that Forest performance and whatever happened in the aftermath to make the breakthrough. Chelsea were poor but our play made them look worse.

So many top performances but Minteh was the star, superb defensive work and showed excellent composure with both goals. The Mitoma goal as well... World class.

Most of them left on 63, as I remember waving cheerio to them as they stomped off up the stairs at 3-0. There were more Chelsea on the pitch than in the stands by FT.

Just got home back to St Leonard’s 0150. Stayed behind for a pint and thought I’d let the queue die down. Something needs to do be done to sort out the train service. It’s an absolute shambles. No wonder there’s hundreds of ticket available every match day.

Spot on analysis, I thought much the same too.
Press, press, press around their box, but if that doesn't work sit back and allow them to bring it forward only for us to win the ball back with their players now committed to more of an attacking position thus leaving us with more space on the wings.
And our forward press seemed to intensify in the latter stages of the game.
Certainly elements of how Forest seem to play it.

Missed the game last night but have just watched the first half this morning. Wow, that’s some team performance!

- Bart: he needed that assist to Mitoma, confidense wise. Brilliant.
- Mitoma: well, speaking of him, what a touch! Insane!
- Webster: fell on his arse after 4 mins when Palmer turned him inside out, after that a rock together with van Hecke.
- Veltman: two hands on his back and you get a free kick against you. Thank you, that was important.
- Hinch: looks like he’s played in the Premier League ten years or so!
- Baleba: increadible as usual.
- Minteh: starting to understand why the club bought him, getting better and better.
- The Team: no frictions there, everyone celebrating those goals like mad. Even Pedro came out to hug Minteh.
- Hurz: he’s so cool, sat there watching 2-0, hardly moved just a quiet Yeees! Iceman! I trust the process!

Missed some players but I have to watch second half now!

And me

It'll be interesting to see if we can do similar against those traditional low press teams.
