I like the way he always now seems to turn out of trouble instead of run into it. He'll pick up the ball and play himself into space, whereas earlier in the season he had a habit of losing the ball. Impressive.I thought he has had better games, or certainly there was a few wild passes in the first half.
But yes, his physicality is incredible and I just always have that sense when he's on the ball, even in a tight spot, that he knows exactly what he's doing
First 10 minutes or so he was all over the place. Thereafter he was brilliant (again)I thought he has had better games, or certainly there was a few wild passes in the first half.

So why don't we sing the Baleba song.I thought the big man deserved his own thread tonight. He was absolutely sensational and seemed to be everywhere. What a player he's turning out to be.
Bit unfair. Much as we resent the way it ended up with Caicedo, he's still a great player, easily one of Cheisea's standouts this season, and was fine tonight other than his usual cynical foul earning a yellow card. I suspect he was subbed because Maresca knew the game was gone and he didn't want to risk any injuries as they've relied on him so much this season. It struck me that Caicedo was nowhere tonight, while Baleba was magnificent!
Surely Baleba is taller than 5 ft 10. I Googled it and the internet says he’s 5ft 10, but is that definitely right? If so, I guess his physical presence makes him seem taller. If you had said, pre-match, there is a 5 foot 10, well built commanding black midfielder out there tonight worth well north of £100m, who is he? Every neutral would have gone MC. But post match, they would all be going CB. Terrific physical performance. Huge value.
