Hopefully that means it's automatically applied by Amex now rather than relying on the staff. All added to card now, so I'll find out soon enough.
Very sneaky this from the club and Amex, they advertised it with great fanfare. Then quietly trying to get rid of it by only communicating it if you click on the pre-match brief email.
I spoke to a member of Sodexo at the last home game and they had been told the club would be communicating this to all supporters that it would be automatically applied.
I imagine its due to people clocking on you could just tell the staff you had an Amex and then use any card for the discount.

It says up to £50 through the season (in tiny print). I assume that means per transaction, and not over the whole season??
Reads as if its over the whole season.

Expires 31/05/2025, so we have to do it each season.
Hopefully this means it will work on Apple Pay as well as the card now (it didn’t for me previously).
Also the discount doesn’t apply at the American Express Lounge!

It's being given as a cashback on your Amex card, rather than an upfront discount, so yes you will need to use your Amex.

Both me and my brother set up the link last night, and both used our cards - he got an email after the match confirming his transaction and discount etc.
