I don't know. If you feel that way normally - then when drunk, you are very likely to say something along the lines of 'you don't understand, you're white', but not so politely or coherently put.
Racism against people who don’t normally experience racism and have not had their lives affected by it is not the same as racism against someone who suffers from it regularly and has had their life affected by it (in my opinion).
Also, it was quite mild racism ‘stupid and white’ said in a petulant way while sitting down and I’m not sure equivalent examples result in criminal charges. I’m happy to be proven wrong on this point if anyone has examples.
But does it normally result in criminal charges. I know it was from a long time ago but I don’t remember Ron Atkinson being charged for his comment.

This is a very good point on almost all discussion on the outcomes of trials, unless you have properly followed the case and listened to the evidence your opinion really isn’t valid as it’s based on a fraction of the evidence.
Perhaps people should trust that if a jury reaches a unanimous decision then that probably is a fair reflection of the evidence.

I am genuinely not saying this in an antagonizing way, and I may be completely wrong, but I am assuming that you are a white male. I would argue that your perspective is demonstrative of that particular positionality. Were you a non-white woman who may have endured a lifetime of unfairness, your different experiences may have shaped your perspective differently. I await being shot down in flames.
And you can watch/listen to the half-hour that led up to her saying it as well, giving it context. Which the jury did.

I’m pretty sure that there was no evidence in the trial that Sam Kerr makes a habit of going around saying ‘stupid and white’ but that she said it once in the context of a particular situation. I don’t know the ins and outs of the exact context, but my point is the jury do and they made a unanimous decision.
I’d genuinely interested if there are any examples of people being prosecuted for statements such as ‘stupid and black’. I don’t remember Ron Atkinson or John Terry being prosecuted for worse or Luis Suarez being prosecuted for similar.

I'm outta here before I get too angry at the double standards we're expected to put up with, and the weedy apologism here for some really dreadful behaviour by a pissed up, entitled wealthy footballer. As usual in these cases, she gets off by playing the victim despite the violence and racism. Does my head in.
Violence? I think it was her other half that broke the taxi window trying to get out, not Kerr.

She's acted like an absolute dick but has been found not guilty of a criminal offence. Not sure that's double standards or weedy apologism.
Funny really, if someone had been found a criminal for calling someone stupid and black, many of the same people moaning about the justice system today would be moaning about snowfloke culture.
I don’t know whether or not you are wrong but I disagree with your central argument. Abusing someone because of the colour of their skin is wrong and it is racism. One reason racists still get away with being racists is because aome people try and differentiate between who it was said to, how it was said or under what circumstances.
Racism is wrong under all circumstances. There should be no ifs or buts.
Look, we can’t go around locking up anyone associated with Chelsea if there’s an accusation they do a racism, the prisons are already full
I’m getting bored of saying this but can anyone find a case of a white person being convicted of racial harassment for something as mild as ‘stupid and black’ (I’m not suggesting that it’s ok to say that just that racism that results in a criminal conviction is normally a bit stronger). If not, then what is the double standard?
