Yeah! Far more appropriate to find his car and leave something "organic" in it!That feels like overly harsh retribution to be honest, for someone borrowing your shoes.
Could have been worse. It could have been a cat burglar. There was a true story in the news a few years ago . Apparently an elderly ladies small dog died and she decided to take it to the vets to dispose of it . She had it in a bag whilst on the bus . Someone snatched the bag and ran away with it .
There’s taking the piss. And then there’s….Not me, a colleague.
He bought fish and chips for his lunch, scoffed it in his van but had the sudden, overwhelming urge to void his bowels. All he had was the empty chip wrapper so he did the business, wrapped it up and put it in the little paper bag it came in.
He got out of the van to go look for a bin, but was waylaid by a member of the public asking him to go look at his drop-wire. He put the bag on the bonnet and went with the feller.
When he came back, the bag was gone.
They probably used the socks to wrap more valuable smaller items up.Our house was burgled many years ago and we had a lot of stuff stolen. The weird thing was I had a lot of old white sport socks that I used to wear under my club socks when playing football and rugby. Most were stained and had holes in the toe. They were stored in a drawer in my bedroom along with a bunch of brand new black socks still in their original packaging. You've guessed it, the thieves took all the white socks but none of the black ones.
