A perfectly good Blackburn goal ruled out for offside by another dodgy FA Cup linesman. Awful.
And he looked so smug when he gave it. Player the other side of the attacker playing onside in my view

Looked very very tight though - I'm not here to defend linos but they don't get a still picture and have to look at several players at the same time so with no VAR they have to go with their initial judgement. With VAR they at least have a back up and can perhaps give the benefit of the doubt to the attacker. I'm level with a lot of offsides at the Amex and I'm consistently wrong.

Prior to var nobody officiated to toe nails and elbows. We went with level and beyond.

I do fear that var has made asst refs unable to work without it

I get the impression that with VAR, players were pushing the offside rule a lot harder.

As you say, just before the Blackburn free kick, about 4 or 5 Blackburn players are clearly offside. But in a split second, they are all onside again.

I don't disagree but on this occasion it's not like he was miles onside, it was at best tight and he clearly thought he was off. But I would make offside only applicable to boots anyway to help avoid the narrow torso/arm/head calls.

Agreed although benefit of the doubt is supposed to go to the attacker

Would be interesting to see which of the two linesman gave the offside. Of the two listed for the Blackburn vs Wolves game one has PL experience and therefore used to VAR and the other one is Championship lino so hasn't used VAR before and shouldn't feel any different in how they are officiating the game.
