I`m sure the regularity of late/midweek games will affect numbers renewing Season Tickets. I`m on the fence re renewing but probably will renew. I do not want to be at the Amex for 8pm kickoffs.
Well you never know, we might make Europe again one day.

I don't see why it would. Had a quick look and we are broadly paying the same amount of evening games as we always have done - 8 so far this season in all competitions including the next 4 scheduled.14 last season including Europe, 11 the season before and 14 the season before that. 13 in our last Championship season. The only difference is we have all got whingier.

Older and whingier coupled with all these late games at renewal time !!

Our best two home games this season - Spurs and Man City - have been evening games. Our worst - Ipswich, Southampton, Wolves, Palace - were 3pm Saturday kickoffs. Just sayin’..
Spurs was 4.30 kick off, still in the afternoon and Palace was 2pm and City was 5.30 so still really the afternoon.
7.30, 7.45 and 8 are evening kick off times IMO.
The 2 games we won are obviously going to be our best…..just sayin’..

Trouble is, as I found out, missing games even if you put them on the exchange eventually leads to a phone call saying that you're not going to be invited to renew your ticket for the next season.

So you were contacted even though you put your tickets on the exchange?

Whilst I'm not denying we've got whinier back in the Championship season we were getting 25k crowds, sometimes less for those evening games. Makes a big difference to train and car park queues having 5k less people trying to get home.

Mine will all be on the exchange, then. I take my almost 80 year old Father-in-Law with me to home games who is usually in bed by 9.30pm. I've taken him to couple of these stupid 8pm kick-offs and it's ruined him the next day. Personally I don't like them either....

Surely evening games are part and parcel of football and have been for decades? Two rounds of scheduled midweek matches and one rearranged game on a Friday night is not really a sign of anything either from the PL or the Albion. Best not go down, we'll be playing midweek games almost every week. Even this Saturday should have better transport than a normal midweek match (extra time etc notwithstanding). I accept of course that getting away from the Amex on an evening game is a pain but we'll always be playing late games many times a season regardless of our division.
I loved the evening games in the Championship

Well, at least there'll be a good crowd for the Fulham game, although I don't think a move to an evening would have bothered us too much as a lot I know go via Lewes.

Reason no. 34,252 that local lower level football (Worthing, Littlehampton etc) looks more and more attractive with each passing season.
