Only wetwipes clap after a result like that. They're professional athletes not children. They need a bit of abuse to remind them there's a minimum expectation every time they put on the shirt, which none of them met today.

*Edit* abuse as in being shown a bit of anger and being told bluntly it's not good enough. Not being sworn or insulted at.

Yeah, abusing the players is going to really help. Literally the only people doing that at full time were some spotty teenagers who'd had too many alcopops. The players know they f**ked up. They don't need people shouting abuse.

Don't get me wrong, I get as frustrated as anyone, but that was such a disaster it was good at the end that the players came over, faced the fans and showed some humility.

I think he made the right call: get down the tunnel, and get ready for the players. A token clap may have triggered dogs abuse from some and what’s the point of that. His job is to look after the players after such a drubbing.

My support for the club is unconditional not my support for the players. I'm not saying people should insult or swear at them but they need a bit of a shouting at. Literally just being told bluntly that it's not f***ing good enough, because it wasn't today. The worst defeat in 67 years. Anyone clapping them needs a banning order.

You would ban about 80% of our travelling fans in that case.

It's weird the things you get really angry about - I was absolutely apoplectic after the capitulation at Leicester, but today was just so bad... I mean, people around me were just laughing at the end. Gallows humour, I guess. Not that we shouldn't be angry about today, of course..
