It is so odd that I am just a fan and sent message to my mates who love to laugh at Brighton saying we are doomed with one midfielder who is a teenager and not started a game since early November but a manager thinks it is okay. The line up is absolutely ridiculous. The attackers are getting in each other’s way. He MUST change it at half time or the process can get in the bin.

I’m not shortsighted enough to think it’s entirely the fault of the manager.

Buying £200m worth of players last summer and the only defensive signing was a sick note full back wasn’t on him.
Yes of course the board choose the team don’t they. The same board that decided to play 1 centre mid today or put Webster upfront against Everton as two very recent examples from a plethora of others. Get a grip mate it’s all on him. He’s got arguably one of the best squads we’ve ever had and he’s royally f’d it up

I’m losing trust in his decisions after that awful lineup selection. What was he thinking with no midfield?
You do know all our first choice midfielders are either ill or injured right?… Not quite sure what you expect him to do?..

So who should we be picking in defence instead of who we have? Because last I saw they were all injured.

You’re blinded by hatred, give your head a wobble.

Picking two midfielders would be good. If both centre backs were injured we would put in back up centre backs to replace them. We would not just play one defender. Gomez was man of the match in his last match for Paraguay against the World Cup winners. He could probably do a better job than erm…no one.

Anyone else listen to Hurzeler's pre match interview on radio Sussex? He's been told how to approach games and what the priority for the club is - to develop players (to obviously make them better and increase their value) by playing possession football and maybe that's why he doesn't adapt the team and tactics too much against different teams to exploit their weaknesses.

Interesting part is 24 minutes in https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0kjrsdq

This probably isn't a bolt out of the blue for many of us but it's still interesting to hear it straight from the horses mouth as it were. The process' main aim is just to produce players, the focus isn't on results.

I never said defence so great argument there to start with.

O’riley and Gomez are sitting on the bench and both are better than Hi sh to start with so why isn’t one on the pitch with him at least?

You’re blinded by optimism and hope that an original statement in believing in him might yet work out but just grow a pair and own up you were wrong. You’d get a lot more respect that way

I’ll be honest mate, you’re not doing your “I’m not being an arse” campaign a whole lot of good this afternoon.
