After going on sale to guests of season ticket holders and Albion+ members this morning (Mon) there doesn't seem to be much of an increase in sales.
I reckon it's looking like a gate of about 26000.

I've just had a quick tally of the number of tickets on sale to home fans on our ticketing page:

East Stand:1595
North Stand: 2497
West Stand: 4258
South Stand: 29

Total available to home fans (as at 12.25 on 27th Jan): 8379

Nobody remember the clusterf*ck at the station after the Liverpool Carabou Cup game? The Chelsea FA Cup game will be an exact repeat of the same. The football day trippers don't have the savvy of the regulars, and will stay to the conclusion, and will all make a bee-line for the station at exactly the same time. It'll be Groundhog Day all over again

10,750ish tickets left on sale.

4,915 tickets to Chelsea.

So something like 16,000 tickets sold in the home end so far with around 10.5k left to sell...

Don't think it's going to be a sell out.

I'm going. Driving there and back from Oxfordshire.

Looks like most of the people around me are going. I quite frankly don't care. It'd be great if everyone's there. I won't be losing any sleep if they aren't.

I've read the entire thread. Everyone has their reasons as to why they are or aren't going, which is fine.

However there's another issues which people are ignoring.

The current capacity of The Amex is FAR too big for us.

There's pockets of empty seats at pretty much every game. Even when the big dogs come to town it's the same. And it's not just confined to the East Stand. I counted 10 empty seats just in my block in the North Stand on Saturday. There's visibly more in other areas of the stadium.

A mate of mine went to the Athens home game and was able to get a North Stand ticket on the exchange on the day of the match. This is the case for most matches, but it's striking when it was so easy to get one for one of our biggest games in recent history. We didn't sell out Palace ffs. I don't think Brentford sold out (correct me if I'm wrong). It's looking like we won't sell out the cup or league games against Chelsea. I'd imagine the same will be the case for the Bournemouth match as well. The Liverpool cup game had large parts of the West Upper cut off.

We all know the attendance figure read out in the second half is complete bollocks. I reckon we're averaging around 26 - 28k this season.

To me, it's little surprise the place will be half empty on 8th Feb. Our support really isn't as big as what some people try and make it out to be.

…and then walk up the ramp to get on a train to Brighton only to get to the top to be told it’s to Lewes or the university, for them to turn down and try to go against the flow. Eeejits.

Won't it be just lovely to stay completely away from that entire shitshow? Club's got the telly money, they can have the tourist money also. Won't get mine tho

Worth saying that it could be the last meaningful match of the season. If we lose we're out of all cups, safe from relegation, and Europe is looking a stretch

Relax, we'll be 3 or 4 down by the 75th minute. Should be a nice, staggered exit.

Looks like the poll is pretty accurate with 50% of STH not going, only a few 100 have been sold today in the final bracket, assume the club don't put it out to purchase history, or worse, after today its unlikely we will shirt many more at guest ticket level so 23k max.

The attendance obviously refers to seats sold. It's the same for every other Premier League club.

But anyway...

The club actually sells out virtually every match these days.

But it has to work hard to do this. It has to manage supply and demand, and the perceived value of tickets.

And yet, still, some wonder why they're not allowed to easily give away their (heavily discounted) season ticket to a (half-interested) neighbour!

Except the home league games do sell out. The “10 people in my block” equates to about 500 in the whole stadium, which is sold seats that are season tickets no shows. Still sold though.

I said from the beginning that with the kick off time (and TV coverage) and that we are playing them in the league the following game, adult tickets IMO are overpriced.
