You have to stop this guy from the start, he’s the kind that if he senses he can push people around he’ll be emboldened and do it more. Classic bully basically.

Economic sanctions might work better than all out war, but no, you cannot appease someone like Trump.

West is BEST
A NATO country invading a NATO country, though?

That’s gonna stir up some shit.
Which will all settled down again once Trump fucks off.

But it’s all a moot point. Trump will no more invade Greenland than he’ll declare a National day of celebration for Vegan LGBTQ Alternative Therapists.

If the USA wants to get the residents of Greenland onside they could pay each of them $100,000. That's probably a cheaper way to impress them than military action. 57,000 people multiplied by 100,000 would equal 5.7 billion dollars.

If Trump wants Greenland, he'll just walk in and take it. It's a measure of the civilised democratic world as to how it responds. What does he decide to take next? Iceland? The Isle Of Wight? Portslade?

According to The Sunday Times today a 1917 agreement between The UK and Denmark means if Greenland was to be sold London has the rights to buy it first due to the dominion of Canada being next door to it. This was because prior to that when the US bought the Danish West Indies off Copenhagen, which is now the US Virgin Islands, President Wilson wanted the Danes to throw in Greenland as well for the $25m purchase price but they refused. The US later signed a letter saying Greenland 'is and will forever be Danish.'

He wouldn't do that because he's always wanging on about how he's anti-war and how he stops conflicts and doesn't start them. And you KNOW how much of a man of his word he is...

Trumps business history suggests he can get away with losing that much on a regular basis

It seems to be genuinely insane. I think that Denmark and Greenland should step up it's defence and say nothing more. Don't give Trump the oxygen of an argument. If he wants Greenland he has to take it by force and if he does NATO should come to Greenland's aid.
