I think Hurzeler has been given a tough task but our home form is shocking - down with the relegation candidates. Unfortunately for Hurzeler most fans only attend the home games and therefore he is getting flak. I do wonder what him , the players and backroom staff work on all week. To create nothing , apart from an early Lamptey ball across the face of the goal, all game is woeful.

That you can watch that and not ask questions given what have also seen over the previous weeks makes me think you are simply trolling. There can be no other explanation .
There is a big difference between asking questions and wailing for the manager to be sacked every time we have a poor result.

I know this knee jerk, sack the manager after half a season is a phenomenon of football in the modern era but to be frank, I thought our fans were better than that and had the nouse to see what Tony and the others are trying to do here.

Anyway, on reflection my comment was probably unnecessary and if I am honest a reaction to a poor performance. So I will apologise and leave you all to it.

For what’s it worth I agree with you overall. I’m definitely not FH out but have concerns. Enjoy your night .

What were your expectations? Not a loaded question, just a straightforward ask. What did you expect from this season?
To be where forest and Bournemouth are now and I think that’s where Bloom wants to be as well hence the large spend . With so many of the so called bigger teams having a bad season we have really missed a trick this season
Just my view but with a better manager we would be top 6 top 4 this season

I think the quality of the players are keeping him in a job at the moment. Be honest would you swop him for Moyes? Even if you say no, did you at least consider the swop?
The thought didn't and wouldn't even cross my mind?

You would?

I do concede that he out-managed our young manager last night though. He is a wiley old bastard, I'll give him that. But still an absolutely firm no

Someone call the ambulance, this person is clearly having a stroke or something.

Moyes?! Really?! Hahaha 🤣 Either incredible sarcasm or you must be a troll

Teams always over and underperform. Luton overperformed to get into the PL and are now in the bottom three facing League One.

We are exactly where I expected.

We were shit today, but we’ll finish 12th-8th as expected

I mean!! What?!! Not in a million years would it even enter my brain that that was a good swap.
Obviously if you'd suggested Allardyce.......:dunce:

Forest and Bournemouth have more experienced managers. With FH, we are doing the same thing as with our players: hiring potential. If he comes good, we'll be up there in the next season or two. This is Bloom's choice. No way he'd have hired him if he was after instant success.

We should have gone all out on Iraola during the summer. We had the lure of lots of investment on the field incoming and he is exactly the sort of manager who'd get this team firing to its potential. Look at muff right now, they are playing exactly how we should be, high intensity and they somehow seem to manage it for 90 minutes.

Still, he's way above us now and will probably be the next Spurs or Chelsea manager within the year.

This is surely a bit of regency bias.

Brighton right now after 23 games:
W8 D10 L5 Pts34 (GD+4)

Bournemouth last season (Iraola's first PL season) after 23 games:
W7 D6 L10 Pts27(GD -13)

They finished the season 12th, and are now in the second year of their project, reaping rewards. We are a year behind in the cycle.

Your post makes sense but do you think GP and RDZ when he was interested would get more out of this squad of players . FH always seems to be out managed during the game today was shocking as was Southampton at home etc etc

He's still learning. I think we all just have to be patient and give him until at least this time next season.
Agree with this. Despite some excellent t results I’m struggling to warm to him tbh. Not changing the high line at Chelsea then playing it again v spurs the next game was madness. Playing gruda and not Rutter today was so so strange. I’m by no means ‘out’ but I’m not bowled over by him.

I am not concerned. I saw exactly the same under Potter for big spells at home, and RDZ’s spell at the end was also dire.

We were dogshit today, but well on course for an expected finish. If you check my posts pre-season I said a cup run and top half finish would be a good finish in my estimation. We are on course for both, but I appreciate we all have different expectations.

We are safe in January. I’m happy.

So why do you think we struggle against sides like Everton and Southampton and why does FH never start with the same Xl to win 3-1 at old Trafford and then make changes apart from Pervis at left back makes no sense if it ain’t broke why try and fix it

We've struggled against these sort of teams under both Potter and RDZ - they never solved the low block issue - and I bet FH wouldn't have changed the team if Pervis wasn't injured and Minteh wasn't late.

It’s shocking that under our last 3 managers this issues haven’t been sorted I think the issue is we are the softest team in the PL I bet Southampton turn us over at st marys but then we go and win at Manchester City really needs sorting us 3 home wins all season is shocking

Also, Iraola came to the PL from Lá Liga, (not Bundesliga 2) and is 11 years older than FH.
