I feel sorry for the people who have to work out a ROI plan for that pocket of land. Hotel maybe or perhaps housing for non-students. Looks like Farmer Bennett fleeced them good and proper. Shame he can’t pass down all the dosh to his kids nowThey do still own it. Bought it in January 2024 for £16.65m. Nice little earner for Mr Bennett.

I’m still annoyed that the club hotel was turned down adjacent to this site!I would also say that now planning permission has been granted for those ugly student blocks if an application went in for something completely different in the future it would be very difficult to turn down.
At a slight tangent, this morning friends of mine are up early for a safari in the Masai Mara. Another tourist, Japanese, politely asked them where they were from.Have you not seen the amount of stuff Mitoma fans can fit in one of the see through club shop bags?
I don't wonder at all!And you wonder why people buy replica shirts not from the club shops
Do you not think TB would have been involved in the idea and planning? Pretty certain that's not how our club works. Spending £40m is not day to day financials. We all know the loyalty scheme was designed by TB so he is quite a hands on owner. But TB is chairman, not CEO. It’s the CEO who is answerable for the financial performance of the company to the Board. The Board will sign off on budgets and top level plans but they won’t get involved in details.
Does this mean that you are also sunning yourself in Kenya at the moment? At a slight tangent, this morning friends of mine are up early for a safari in the Masai Mara. Another tourist, Japanese, politely asked them where they were from.
As soon as she heard Brighton, she exclaimed Mitoma!
I wish. No, they posted some fabulous photos on FB.Does this mean that you are also sunning yourself in Kenya at the moment?
On the contrary, in Japan when I was walking around Osaka, a Japanese family wanted a photo with me, in my Brighton shirt, when I mentioned Mitoma they looked at me funny and shook their head and slowly walked offAt a slight tangent, this morning friends of mine are up early for a safari in the Masai Mara. Gave em away free on the last night tooDicks Bar sold the best cooked Piglets Pies at The Amex.
You should, given the chance, either a safari, or simply indulging yourself in an all-inclusive hotel on the Indian Ocean.I wish. No, they posted some fabulous photos on FB.
My CPFC supporting mate is out there right now. Watched the Man Utd game in the Big Tree Bar, Bamburi Beach followed by the Cheers Bar, Bamburi. The videos he sent looked like a lovely place.I wish. No, they posted some fabulous photos on FB.
No, I don't. I think he will have left it to his CEO and deputy Chairman to get on with. I'm sure he's had stuff presented to him, but that's different.Do you not think TB would have been involved in the idea and planning? Pretty certain that's not how our club works. Maybe we can rename the FanZone to the "Mike BamBar"...?I still think its little remiss of the board not to have anywhere in the stadium named after Mike Bamber.
Think we'll have to agree to disagree about how the club is run.No, I don't. I think he will have left it to his CEO and deputy Chairman to get on with. I'm sure he's had stuff presented to him, but that's different.
