[Albion] Enciso is such a ray of sunshine.... not

Agreed.

A spell at a smaller PL Club will do him good. Watching him hoof 8 attempts at goal when I saw him at Brentford in December, I thought then he was trying too hard to ‘compete for a place’ in a squad that’s top heavy in the MF/CAM areas - that can make a player selfish and careless. I’m not convinced Ipswich will stay up and I hope for Enciso’s sake the loan won’t be another Billy Gilmour situation when Tuchel loaned WBG to Norwich - Norwich fans vented disappointed at the ‘great white hope’ that was supposed to help them not get relegated and that really impacted on his self confidence. Although after speaking to Ipswich fans the other night, I have the impression they are more resigned than Norwich fans were at the time about surviving for another season in the PL (sadly).
Hoofed 8 efforts? What game were you watching?!

I'm very much in this camp. Really like the player but Enciso, somewhat like Sarmiento and Buonanotte, just don't quite fit in FH's set up.
Buonanotte runs his arse off and is very intense, may well be a key player for us next season.

And he signed a new contract before going on loan - seems more in tune with his planned development route than Enciso, who I assume thought he'd be getting offerers from Man City and such like by now.

I wonder how much Enciso is driven by whispers in his ears from agents and totally unrealistic expectations from Paraguay journalists and sycophants who think he’s already at Messi levels.

Ipswich need to make sure they get the real Enciso and not this imposter.

With the volume of quality players that are coming through the doors, this type of scenario will happen more and more often. Brighton will potentially become not only a selling club, but also a transitional club, where Player A gets the chance to shine and then move on to further their career making the club a bit of profit in the process (as opposed to the 'buy them cheap, sell them high' Caicedo-type deals).

I have no issue with it – players come and go and that's the way it is. Enciso works hard (sometimes tries TOO hard, IMO) and is a decent player, but if it's not working out here, he's the type of guy where a move to somewhere else is probably best for him and the club. Having said that, he could come back in the summer having kept Ipswich up, sign a new contract and become a key player in 25/26!

Probably far less than, how driven we are, by speculation on twitter and message boards, regarding our players' temperaments and motivations.

Is it not very strange that we’re being told a medical was done or planned yesterday/today at Ipswich, but he’s in our training photo which say they’re from todays session. Is this another one where agents/media are getting ahead of themselves at how close a deal is? Or putting out news that a deal could be done to try and drum up interest from others?

IF true I’m impressed with him
Or maybe having watched both teams in quick succession from the bench, he's decided that Ipswich play better football!

It's amazing to think that our squad is so strong at the moment we can loan our reserves out to other premier league teams

I really don't like the title of this thread - every time I see him in the Brighton Unlocked videos or coming over to the fans after the game he seems like a top bloke
Well said mate.

It seems to be bollocks. He normally looks happy enough to me

And the last time someone said a statement with "not" after it and there was a level of amusement attached was 1992.

Just generally, having thread titles which denigrate our players is an uncomfortable one right? Fair enough if it's Leon Best or something, but a player who is genuinely trying his best for the club?

I don't like it

Completely agree with you and @Kalimantan Gull but it's also a classic NSC trope for some overreactive poster to yell that they can see the truth so create a thread only for the vast majority to be baffled. It is bloody annoying to quite like a player and see a fellow fan dragging them through the dirt...

Plus the "not" in this, if earnest, is one of the funniest things ever posted on this site.
