Have to say I agree with you - an absolute litany of excuses on here. Oh well, each to their own - just a shame though if the Amex is half full.
I wonder what on earth the supporters of other teams think when they read this board right now... and before someone says "but you've never been here!!!" - well, thats true, but at least I want to be there...

8pm KOs at The Amex are a massive ball-ache as we all know, and two in a row is rotten, and two in a row against Chelsea is as bad as it gets. But I actually loathe Chelsea way more than I detest Palace and so I'll have to go to both, though I'm a bit worried about how I can sustain a "BOOOOOOOO.....!!!" if Cucurella, Sanchez and Caicedo all play...

The best one is 'it's dead late' like going out between 6pm and 1am is completely unheard of on a Saturday night.

Or the even more bizarre 'I'd be tempted if it wasn't chelsea'.
I don't dare to ask why people in every other country are able to go to games starting at 20.00, 21.00 or even 22.00 without it being seen as some sort of crime against humanity. Could you ask for me?

Champions League games start 8pm and are played on weekdays. People must be on their knees praying we never get there.

(STH) Going but…….. the Club do not make this any easier do they. Firstly I could only buy my own ticket and was unable to book my sons who is (a) a STH and (b) listed in my friends and family group and (c) working so was difficult for him to jump on the website and book his own ticket. Secondly being just over state pension age, and where we sit (WSL) has no concessions, the system would not let me book my ticket as it had allocated an ADULT ticket and yet, as I am over state pension age, the system appeared to assume I was entitled to a concession rate, and just said No! Now, I had had this issue previously and had reported it to the club you would have hoped they would have sorted their systems out between the previous incident and this one. With the issues of getting away from the ground due to the way the walkways are being blocked by the queues for Falmer station, which I can only see getting worse once the new ‘Fans Zone’ opens, it all seems such an obvious ‘pinch-point’ , It’s just becoming more and more of a ball ache getting away from the games and the booking experience for cup games (why could I only purchase my ticket?).
Are you really saying that your working age son is unable to find the time to buy his own ticket between this morning and Thursday morning?

With the same concern I tracked down YouTube tutorials by vocal coaches on how to hold notes for a very long time. My aim is to get a kind rolling, perpetual motion booooo by 2027.

So speaks the people’s champion.

The fact that this grand old competition has been sold to multiple bidders and had replays (that could earn the poorest clubs fortunes) replaced by extra time and penalties (that mean London based Chelsea and Brighton fans might not make it home) hasn’t gone down well with exactly the same set of supporters you’re trying to ingratiate yourself with.

8pm on Saturday with the possibility of extra time and pens, given the public transport in this city, is an abomination. But at least it means you’ll be able to stream it in your cave 👍

Lots of people want to be there. But your missing the point.
Thread wouldn't be here if it was a 3pm KO.
I'm going because car sharing allows. Not everyone can.

Perhaps the matches you mention are in cities with better transport links? I used to live in Liverpool, and whatever you say about the city, it has great public transport (or at least used to) along with the most black cabs outside London. Getting to and from Anfield was waaaaaaay easier than the Amex primarily as the location was in a spot that whilst not central, was still decent and people disperse in all directions. Most of the Amex traffic moves east to west and it is highly reliant on the trains which have gotten worse over the last few years.
