Which is why the most impressed I've been with FH to date was after the Chelsea match, he pretty much ditched the high line, admitted he didn't really have the players to play it as he wants to. He might bring it back but I suspect only once he's had another couple of transfer windows.Some managers seem intent on creating their own problems. Postecoglu will not change his system despite not having the team available to play that style, same with Amorim, Arteta only signs defenders and defensive midfielders despite needing a striker, RVN won't play his best player because of his issue with loans, Russell Martin lost his job because he wouldn't adapt his system.
Somebody should tell these managers that having a system is great, but being too proud to adapt is problematic. Their first priority has to be winning games but, weirdly, it isn't
