Pete O'Rourke hasn't been reputable for years. Can't see it myself.
My computer can't handle the websites of local British newspapers... for real.
What were the reasons the deal didn't happen?
Doesn't sound crazy that we'd go again. If we can't get Boscagli in January we might want another left-footed defender in as Igor's replacement. And Cashin wouldn't cost the world unlike some other defenders we've been linked to. It would be a cheapish way of bringing in a backup defender who has the right age and nationality to be easily moved on if things don't work out.
Cute.
Fee finally agreed but not enough time for the medical! Gutting! He’s discussed this publicly https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sp...ews/derby-county-eiran-cashin-feature-9146432
Never got this one. No outstanding physical attributes, nobody else shown much of an interest, not in the Ireland team. Not even that young.
His data must be staggering.
I was a bit confused by this rumour, but this is pretty convincing data. Some of it doesn't look to shabby...
From a very very good source, the player thought he was on his way to join us last time round. Bags packed waiting for a car to take him to Lancing when it fell through. Was absolutely devastated apparently
now confirmed by a reliable source
not for sale is the message
Surely Ruairi McConville can step in and play as the fourth choice centre-back?
Yes, I know he's not got the first-team experience as Cashin but he's training with better players than the Derby cloggers.
Maybe he can but he's right-footed. Cashin can play both LCB and LB. Currently Pervis is our only fit left-footed defender and since Igor will likely miss all of the rest of the season we may be very interested in a left-footed CB who can also cover for Pervis. Surprising - I would have thought they would want to "cash-in"...not for sale is the message
Is exactly what happened - Was surprised how Brighton went about that one, he'd certainly be a lot more expensive now than then.We were haggling over fee, and we left it too late in the window to up the bid to what they were after, if I remember correctly. Since then he signed new deal (he was running close to the end of a deal when we last bid) and is playing in the Championship now (rather than L1 as he was then) - so he'd cost a fair bit more. If we'd wanted him, we sure have moved better last time!
He's left footed, I can't categorically say he's never played LB but I can't recall it. I certainly wouldn't describe as someone who 'can play' LB.Maybe he can but he's right-footed. Left of a back 3 is a plausible position for him if we signed him. Has he ever done that job for you? He's left footed, I can't categorically say he's never played LB but I can't recall it. I certainly wouldn't describe as someone who 'can play' LB.
Fair enough, seems like he only got one game as LB (a loss against Charlton - but he scored!).Still surprised that Brighton are in for himbu he has had a lot better time in the first half of this season than last, he's been excellent.
