Love him or hate him, it was a speech of hope, ambition and better things to come, (ok some BS)
But, contrast that with the UK talking down and doom loop.
There’s a reason why US GDP compared to EU has doubled in last 10 years. They want to get bigger, they want economic freedom and small state.
We gave them that 250 years ago…
We are the ones who don’t have ambition to grow
We are the US 4 years ago

Like him or loath him that speech was all guns blazing. Would be nice if Starmer delivered a speech of hope and belief in the UK like that but sadly not. Great to see Biden and cohorts having to sit through that, the binning of electric cars and ramping up the production of petrol cars and " drill baby drill " whilst parts of america is a tinderbox is pure irony. I am not a fan or an anti but I can see why the usa voted him in

I would think about as excited those in the UK voting for Starmer still waiting for the Promised Land.

I take it from your need to reach for the whatabouttery that he hasn't laid out a plan to help who voted for him?

Quelle suprise.

AS a point of order is it not rude to wear a hat during a meal Melana ? A custom not shared by the usa but it is a great hat, to be fair

Does the hope, ambition and better things to come stretch to normal Americans or is it just for his billionaire and tech CEO sycophants?

And already defended on here because he invented stuff. He's a vile piece of shit.
It should also be remembered, of course, that he didn’t invent a damned thing. He just bought and paid for the ideas of others.

Time will tell….my point is it’s a positive message, talking the country up and putting in place policies which encourage growth.
Complete opposite to the tax grabbing, big government, anti business we have here, for too long…..

Yeah American growth since the financial crash has been impressive. I wonder if it is anything to do with 12 years of Dem and 4 republican?

He still doesn't understand how tariffs work. He thinks he'll increase tariffs on China, for example, and send China the bill🤣🤣🤣🤣

Maybe, it doesn’t matter….. it’s the mindset that matters…. Which we don’t have here
Although the dems have spent a lot of money…. And yes COVID etc…. 🙄
