Think more and more teams will be looking for a draw against Nottingham, which should be quite easily achievable. If we're going to be real pragmatic thats what we might go looking for as well. Play safe, be patient, force them to come forward, leave full backs in defense. If they get the first goal I think we would have a very difficult time breaking them down.

The key for anyone is don’t let fast out of the tracks Forest score first.

Watching Nuno teams in the flesh, other than when he lucked out through the superagent …. delivering Jota etc, it’s not a great watch for opposition fans. Mass ranked defence for 90’, a couple of players, possibly 3, ready to nab a counter attack win.

Nothing against Nuno himself, he seems a gent and I felt sorry for his treatment at Spurs.

But this doesn’t have the feel of LCFC. Mahrez, Kante, Vardy, Albrighton and flying fullbacks coming at everyone, afraid of no one.
No but if it wasn't for Liverpool I think Nottingham would have had one of the best chances of doing a Leicester... would have been ugly winning the league this way and with an owner who without a doubt is the biggest scum in the PL by a fat f***ing margin, and that includes the Saudi beheaders.

Don't think they're going to drop off much (but a little). Probably top 5 when the season ends.

Their upcoming fixtures are pretty hard.

Their next 6 games are against top 10 opponents. All those teams are in the top 10 recent form table too.

Let’s see where they sit after their City match at the beginning of March. Surely teams will crack their formula soon and they’ll pick up the sort of injuries that most other clubs are suffering.

How do we beat them then?
Clubs eventually worked his Wolves side out, and he got sacked. No reason why the same won't happen again eventually.

Wolves finished 7th twice in a row (as newcomers in the first season) and was 6th when Raul Jimenez cracked his skull in late November 2023.

Clubs "worked out" that Wolves couldn't win many games with their best attacking player having a skull fracture, so they dropped to 13th.

Not sure its a sustainable way of keeping Nuno teams out of the top 8 though. He is a very very good manager.

I'm not saying he isn't, but if you put all your eggs in one big striker-shaped basket, then you can't really complain when that big striker gets injured and you don't have many other options. Forest will be the same when Wood gets injured. Wolves still had Diogo Jota at that stage and yet went downhill.

I don't think he was complaining?

In 2020, the Chinese Wolves owners decided to stop investing money in "entertainment companies"... such as Wolves. Since they have important business relations with Jorge Mendes, they can't just f*** off but since then they've cut costs to the bare minimum to keep operating and making transfer profits until they can get out.

This meant, among other things, Wolves sold Diogo Jota and bought a 18-year-old Jorge Mendes-client (Fabio Silva) for £35m as the only backup for Jimenez.

While Nunos football is quite one dimensional, I don't think it can be "worked out" like that. If he has access to the kind of players he needs for his system, they will do well regardless of much their opponents know about what they do.

Fair play to Nuno and Forest. I had them as right in the mix for relegation at the start of the season.

I absolutley LOVE seeing Spurs down there. In fact, even considering our result (just the customary 3 points at Old Trafford afterall), Spurs shipping 3 and losing to Everton was my favourite result of the weekend :lolol:
