[News] Southport Murderer Pleads Guilty

Silly old bat
I've never seen such a brutal case get so little attention. So murky all of it. A lot politics at play.
How much attention do you want it to have? It is the lead story on the BBC website.

Normally, when there is a horrific story, people want to discuss it, but the original poster at the time of the murders requested his thread be closed, and now the murderer has pleaded guilty, what else is there to discuss?
He will be sentenced on Thursday.

We have to be careful just talking about it on here but I want the big Islamic pink elephant question answered if there is any indication of that, as so many people seem to think there was. Then questions of how the police dealt with it if there was a political cover up and for what reasons. In previous attacks we have had big discussions as a nation this whole thing seems like a hush job, but maybe that is the way these attacks will get dealt with going forward by media.

If I could flick a switch to bring this scumbag's life to an end, I'd gladly do it. Prison is far too good for him. The fact that the taxpayer is going to have to feed and clothe this individual for the rest of his days makes me sick to the core.

It has been specifically stated that there was no religious significance in the attack, Islamic or otherwise:-
The turd "was referred a number of times to the government’s counter-extremism Prevent scheme because of concerns about his obsession with violence. This was not because of worries about any particular ideology such as Islamism, or racial or religious hatred.
The concern was that he seemed to be actively seeking information about violence."

So, in this case no room here for any discussion or accusations about Islamophobia. The elephant is not present.

He was found of course with a PDF file titled Military Studies in the Jihad against Tyrants: The Al-Qaeda Training Manual

But no direct link has publicly been made that this was religiously motivated. It could be that the document contained terroristic materials he wanted to cause general violence, without a religious motivation and this document provided it regardless of the author.

I doubt we’ll get a proper elocution in open court so chances are we’ll never know for sure

Without a full confession or manifesto or public statement it’s speculation, but being caught with an Al-Queda manual obviously isn’t a good look

Whats the theory for why this has been hushed up?

This is how the police dealt with. He was arrested, remanded and charged. Like anyone would be. Details were revealed as facts came to light. You criticise how police dealt with it forgetting that many of these riots were triggered by deliberate false information coming from elsewhere.

Unfortunately, a number of dense individuals decided to use it as an excuse, and it was an excuse, to go on the rampage and attack innocent people. They had cloaked themselves in a false rage at the murder of children to justify their appetite for violence. For them it was an opportunity rather than a time of grief. Not the right way to honour the memory of the poor kids who were murdered.

Originally, the murderer was under 18 when he was arrested, so therefore until a judge authorises it, cannot be named as he was a minor. Several troublemakers on the internet, starting using the anonymity as a weapon against the government alleging a cover up. There was also a massive wave of lies from X about him being a recent arrival on a boat etc etc.

Within days, the judge had allowed him to be named despite still being only 17.
It seems some people still believe in a cover up, and still use the silly trop of two tier Keir, when all the criminal cases have been dealt with within the law ie guilty pleas get dealt with very quickly.

With the Jihadi booklet connection possibly they viewed it as for the greater good to not mention any Islamic connection because it could fuel riots who knows that often what folk are talking about online. There would be questions about that, and with the savage brutality of these murders against these little children, people are naturally want more debate as to how this could happen. The "he had mental health issues" lets leave it that response story will always be countered with more questions.
