I’m sure he was disappointed to come off but deep down he probably knows it’s right not to push the risk of an injury while he’s still coming back from a long lay off.

Not sure he would’ve have lasted the full 90+ minutes without a drop in performance or fatigue injury. Need him at least on the bench on Sunday.

Class is permanent, and although he may have slightly slowed, (though still faster than our other CBs IMO), his reading of the game is increasing, and it was already at a high level..

Edit - and his communication is excellent

Cracking servant to the club. He has made some high profile mistakes, but his contribution to our cause has been excellent.

Replacing JPVH or Dunk? Not for me.

Yes he's had a couple of good games and was excellent v Ipswich. But he's always had a calamitous error in him that's cost us so much in the past.

Far more than Dunk or JPVH have.

I'm really pleased for him and hopefully he'll continue to stay fit and perform well, but not even 2 games in on his return and we're talking about dropping one of our 2 CBs?
