It amazes me why anyone would object to any post someone adds especially for someone who has died. The simple solution is to just not open the thread. It is quite easy to do

Yeah, lets have all the dead people I don't know in one place, so I can ignore them all in one go

People die every day, such is life.

But this is a BHA fan site - do we really need to RIP any old formerly semi-famous person who has died of old age?

I genuinely have no idea who any of these people are.

Ignore them then, they’re optional reading

I’m waiting for the imminent ‘@Mustafa II threads are getting out of hand‘ thread.

Considering numerous notable people die every day, I would suggest having a "People who have died today" thread in one place.

I’m prepared, obviously with Bozza’s endorsement, to become the RIP monitor.

Durlston makes an excellent point, with the 1950’s TV boom there clearly are more ‘celebs) dying than before.

For my own recent RIP thread starting I make no apologies, Sam Moore was a musical legend, both Linda Nolan and Duncan Norvelle were part of many of our youths, and sadly The Vivienne and Paul Danan took their own lives, I have said it before there is a suicide epidemic in this country that many including, His Majesty’s Government wish to sweep under the carpet.

as others have said-its easy to ignore RIP threads-its in the title.Dont want to read them ? Simple-dont open it.Just because the OP hasnt heard of some of them, others have. and some of them mean a great deal to a great many people .

One of the great things about NSC is that its not just a football forum, its so much more than that.

Im not interested in a lot of thigs on here so I ignore them. "Lets count to 500 000" wtaf is that ? I dont get it and its not for me but it is for those who post on it, so I dont read it. I certainly dont open a thread saying so

That won’t work at all

- when certain people die, NSCers often want to reminisce and post their memories (sometimes very personal) - you’d have pages and pages about one person (like the excellent thread tribute to Bob Grover recently or the Annie Nightingale thread last year) mixed in with various references to other RIPs - about 5 different conversations at the same time and an insult to those mourning the loss of a person that they might have known/had personal memories of and who want to continue the tributes without it moving onto another deceased.

No no no.
