Brighton factually.....
I was looking forward to seeing him play last night to see how he was shaping up.
Watching him being surrounded during corners, he looked nervous and it seemed he was being particularly targeted as if we had some inside information that corners could be a weakness, he never looked like attempting to come and claim any of them. The shot from Mitoma should have been palmed away comfortably to be honest, he then went on to give us a corner by casually passing the ball to errrr no one.

Liked the Albion fans singing "Christian Walton, he's one of our own" Class.

Overall he was not one that got away, we helped him on his way to hopefully a long successful career in the Championship.

This. I was left thinking that very thought, not one we will mourn over letting go. Admittedly this is the only game I've seen of him this season.

I thought he did OK, although I'm not sure how much I agree with Matterface's suggested that the coming together with Joao Pedro affected his judgement for the first goal. Wasn't it a deflection and then it snuck underneath him?

Went through Davis' legs, so he didn't have a clear sight of it, causing him to react late. That said, if one of our GKs had let that in, there'd be a chorus on here that said GK made a mistake.

Yeah, there was one angle that showed that he was positioned well to save it, but the touch off the defender nudged it down and to his right and under the body. I don't expect any keeper to be able to re-adjust that fast

It really didn't, it clearly flicked his left heel and diverted it.

I thought he looked alright, should've done better on the first but was unsighted by a poor bit of defensive play.

Really funny, and brutal, from the Albion fans to chant "he's one of our own" after the brain fade corner.

He's only played two or three of PL games for them until this point. His last sustained run in the Ipswich team before that was in League One- after they got promoted to the Championship, he would have started but broke his arm (or some such injury) in pre-season, their second choice guy got in the side and kept his place. So he's been unlucky in that respect, then he played in their first game of the season after Hladky left in the summer, and was promptly replaced by Muric after doing nothing wrong in that match.

All their fans say he's a great shot stopper (evidenced by that save from Joao Pedro), but isn't great with his feet (evidenced by that neat pass straight out for a corner). He'll probably be alright for them, but is still incredibly inexperienced at this level. What did he play for us: one, two games?

You can hardly blame him bearing in mind what happened when he last played for us - it was the last thing he ever did for us. In the managements eyes he was probably ahead of Sanchez at that point too.
He hasn't had a lot of luck with injuries coming at exactly the wrong time for him (and his replacement coming in and seizing their chance and keeping the place).

I remember him playing a league match at home to Wigan Athletic in 2014. But that's the only one.

Didn't he make his debut against Spurs at White Hart Lane? Aged 17 or 18?

Can't remember if it was league or cup.

Yes, looks like he did at 18. League Cup match. Kane scored a couple.

Watched the game last night with my best mate who is an Ipswich fan, he much prefers Walton to Muric.

We both thought Walton was a bit flappy at corners. Should have done better with the Mitoma goal but I can't work out if he's slightly unsighted by a defender, plus he might have still been feeling the effects of the Joao Pedro challenge as it was only a few mins earlier. Those are the first goals he's let in from open play though as both Fulham goals were penalties and he kept a clean sheet on his PL debut against Chelsea, considering he's barely played over the last season and half he's not doing too badly.

I thought the Mitoma goal took a slight deflection off the defender which made it look worse on Walton.
