I think that piece was doing the rounds a couple of seasons ago? I wonder if he still has that post injury?

He will be able to sign a contract with whoever he wants in January without them needing to pay a fee.
I don't see that as likely. The lad surely wants to get his career up and running after all that time out.

We will get something nominal in January. But hey let's not cry over the financial loss when we've made fabulous money in sales on players who have worked out.

That terrible injury is what scuppered Jakub's time with us. Those two years of development between 22 and 24 are vital for a player. But if he can avoid recurrences, there's every reason to think he can go on and have a decent career. Stuttgart are a very decent club

good move for him to be fair, I can see him thriving there.

If they are, take it.

The lad deserves a fresh start
Agree, we'll make a loss surely in any case (what did he cost, something like £10m?), but given his injury history and lack of play time, we won't get much more.

After Moder's very professional behaviour throughout and lack of recent opportunities, I hope we don't make it too difficult. Plus Feyenoord is a great old club.

He certainly does, but I think he's worth more than that.

Fab felt he was worth chucking on for 10 minutes on Saturday.

Not sure many clubs will stump up more for a player who missed 18 months out injured and only has 6 months left on his contract.

Sometimes it is about doing the right thing for the player, we’ve let other players leave towards the end of their contracts for nominal fees and this could be a good chance for Moder to kick start his career. Despite the injury and lack of game time he’s been a model pro never publicly moaning about a lack of game time.

Also from an accounting point of view it’s not a bad move for the club.

Although we will lose money on his transfer fee compared to what we paid for him, it will go on the books as a profit for this season.

We signed him on a 5 year deal for £6 million, (according to Sky Sports) which means we’ve depreciated about £4.8m of his transfer fee in previous years accounts. So a small profit feeds into this years accounts if we do sell him.

On what basis? Out of contract in the summer? Injured for 2 years, couldn't hit a barndoor before that.

Only good game was against Man U at right back last season.

Nice guy, rotten injury, good luck to him in Holland.

How soon is now?

During his time here I think he scored more times for Poland than he did for us.…
I‘m glad he regained fitness to play elite level football again, but perhaps its time to move on
