Agree with Guinness 0.0, I had a chat with a local craft beer brewer a while back and asked what beer he couldn’t figure out how they made it so good and he said Guinness 0.0

Noughty Sparkling Wine and Red are both the only de-alcoholised wines I’ve ever had that were good as well

I have been off alcohol for nearly 4 years now and didn’t touch any non alcoholic beers until last year, I was happy drinking soft drinks but I enjoy Guinness Zero now.

Plenty of places around Brighton and Hove.

I typically have bottles of this at home too but can be quite dear so try and save for a nice meal or socialising.

The ‘daily driver’ is Peroni 0 as it is cheap and cheerful.

Guinness 0 is the AF alternative that they have got the closest to the real thing. Really is very difficult to tell the 0 from the real stuff and most pubs do it in pint cans now.

Guinness 0 and Erdinger are my go to. Reliable and beery.

Free Damm is very reliable.

I avoid all the beers I would have avoided when I was drinking (Heineken, Peroni, Corona, San Miguel etc) because they are no better without alcohol

Try Clear Head IPA front the Bristol Beer Factory.
Northern Monk is very good as are many other smaller brewers.
One or two of the Big Drops are convincing.
Lazer Crush is worth a try (owned by one of Led Zep)
Brulo are generally strong, but expensive

Another vote for Lucky Saint - 0.5% so close enough to 0. It's one of the more expensive ones but does come at draft more than others. Maybe there should be a condition added to booze licences that there has to be at least one zero percent, or close to zero, on draught.

As a piss head I’ve always considered the concept pointless, choosing a cup of coffee or a glass of water, however, lifestyles change and yesterday I enjoyed driving and watching the match sober a lot more than I thought I would.

I would have swerved yesterday probably due to that train business however the boy is 15 now, and wants to go to every match, he’ll soon be off on his own so I’m getting as many matches in with him as I can even if that means taking the car….…..I’m waffling now and going off at a tangent.

Right, the answer to your question, that Guinness, looks like a pint, tastes like a pint, and has now become a realistic option for me.

For example 'only with love' are based in Uckfield and have a fantastic range, you can also get them on tap at their brew cafe in Lewes:

Although you can't pick these types of beers up in the supermarket, a number of the local Off Licences in Hove and Brighton do stock them, as well as less well know AF beers from other parts of the UK and the world. If you are prepared to do a bit of a search there is quite a diverse range of good stuff out there.

They sell this at Lewes / The Dripping Pan and they are from a local brewery - Only With Love - who do a whole range of AF beers but this citrus IPA is my favourite.

Yes. That is true. Although I think the majority of people, like myself, who enjoy the occasional non-alcoholic beverage are doing so under entirely different circumstances. In other words, not pounding ten of them and then going for a kebab.
