If East Sussex and Brighton & Hove were to become one authority Saltdean would become reunified. Would we all have to head up there, push a wall over and sing David Hasselhoff songs?

They have done this sort of thing in US blue states and parts of Australia, it is widely seen as Gerrymandering.

If we’re re-drawing the county map in this way, can we at least please do whatever it takes to get Crawley transferred to Surrey?

Or, preferably, Neptune.

In the past wasn't Crawley, or at least part of it in Surrey. Seem to remember them being pissed off when it all moved to Sussex.

Let's see a budget showing the savings and an estimate of what the newly reduced rates will be, with a percentage cast iron guarantee of how much will be saved. Then have a referendum.

Governments of all colours seem to think that local democracy means doing what the national government tells you to.

Well, we should unify, it will be the greatest, the best, like nothing you have ever seen.

And we're going to build a wall, the biggest wall. Just south of Crawley and in a loop around Gatwick. And Surrey will pay for the wall. We need to stop those wannabee Crawley footballers coming and injuring our players. And all those boats, those ships coming along the Thames. The Chinese, the Russians, they don't even know who they are. We need to buy Kent, or we'll just take it if need be. Kent is the real East Sussex.

Tunbridge Wells will be the capital of Sussex. Like it always was. It's ours and we are taking it back. Every school will play Stoolball. Make Anderida great again.
