Said it before and I'll say it again, this is precisely the type of misguided feel good appointment a new owner would make... Hopefully
This would have to count for Christmas and Birthday

New stadium, potential investment in the squad, good little job that, I think Potter should have held out for that job.
Pretty clear he is prioritizing not moving his kids from school, not moving house, family and that.

Have you considered masterly inactivity?

At least whenever we beat them next we can sing “you’re getting sacked in the evening” to whoever’s in the dugout.

Yes, bigger club, with more history, than West Ham, tremendous potential with new rich owners and a custom built state of the art new stadium - could have made a good loan option for Fergie too - they love a no.9 big centre-forwardy type of centre forward up there; Dixie Dean, Alex Young, Joe Royle, Bob Latchford, Duncan Ferguson.....................................

Very surprised. Doubt Moyes will take it on a temporary basis.
Surprised that anyone decent would take it permanently at this point of the season, before any serious strengthening.
Seems like a serious risk.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Sunderland's Règis Le Bris was poached from the Championship side. The Mackems love him.
Any relation to the butcher of Royston Vasey?

Steve Cooper? I remember a lot of people being OUTRAGED when he was sacked by Leicester.
It will be a foreigner.

Hang on....he's Welsh!
He's a shoe in.

Or do they wear clogs there?

The most curious thing..

And abysmally badly run in recent years.

Good manager, he'll pop up somewhere else soon enough.
Yes I agree. I don't like his style of football but he has done well to keep them up.

However, he always seems to get results at the Amex with his sides so maybe a January win against Everton is now on the cards ! :rave:

Taken over by incredibly wealthy yanks. Every time they fail to win at home, mass booing. Online their fans talk with envy at the style of football played by Ipswich etc.
