It's generally easier to sign from South America in January. The difference is that Palmeiras have the Club World Cup in the summer so might want him around for that.
Would imagine he stays on loan with them for 6-18 months if we sign him. Get him to study English etc. while getting football at a good level (Brazilian league is top 10 in the world).

I mean that's the solution that could hopefully work for all parties, whether Palmeiras see it that way or not who knows

After reading pages 1 and 2 I was all in on this one. But after reading page 3, the doubts that exist on the pronunciation of his surname have left me cold. Fence at best.
This is exactly the kind of sensible reasoning and logic we need to implement more in our recruitment decisions.

The article I saw suggested this was, unusually for us, not the plan.

If your system identifies a player as a 'must have' then you pay the asking price.
Faffing probably just lost him, he would have rather gone to City I expect, given the choice.
Are you an inside party to Brighton's system then? How would anyone but those closely working on this know if we faffed?

Don’t be daft.

Hmmm. I think if City want to repair their squad, about the last thing they need is a CB for the future. They need a striker and some dynamism in CM as a priority.
Looks like Fab stirring to me.
