Would imagine he stays on loan with them for 6-18 months if we sign him. Get him to study English etc. while getting football at a good level (Brazilian league is top 10 in the world).

Hmmm. I think if City want to repair their squad, about the last thing they need is a CB for the future. They need a striker and some dynamism in CM as a priority.

According to David Ornstein in The Athletic, City are also trying to sign the 20 year old Lens centre back Khusanov this January so maybe they’ll just sign one or the other and we might still have a chance with Reis?
