At the end of the day, it's all deflection. I've heard it can be an approach to keep pressure of the players. It's bollocks. If I'm managing a team in a business, it's on me to set out what I want done, to motivate to deliver what's expected. Yes sometimes not every person on the team is exactly what you need, but you work with what you have at any given time. Pointing the finger and continually blaming everything but yourself is the sign of a poor manager for me.
