IMO put the away fans right next to the north stand ..have no pre match experience but get us to sing…”you’re never make the station”to them…..that should liven things up !!!
Is that because they'd be in the East lower rather than West lower? I think they'd make the station before the North if they were in West lower....

The issue with noise has been ongoing for a long time. As someone who used to be in the middle of the North, who often struggled to work out which group to sing with, it’s been a real shock to the system going to the WSU where there can be next to no noise all game. There have been times where I find myself singing alone, or often starting chants, which has never happened before, but they inevitably die out within 30 seconds or so.

I guess when you enforce seating to the level we do, it’s inevitable that singing will take a hit.

I couldn’t go yesterday, but watched it on tv , the atmosphere in the first half was very quiet, you could hear the Arsenal but not much from the North Stand , second half was better , but still not great

As the south stand will be starting from scratch, why don’t the club look at applications from fans to start a designated singing section? Those that want to move from wherever can do so
They won’t be starting from scratch, far from it. Those in SW corner and other areas having to make way will be relocated here.

Yes, but they could designate an area for a singing section and open it up to anyone wanting to move there - it's ‘scratch’ in terms of an unoccupied area
You’d like to think so, but I can see the club offering relocated fans wherever they want to compensate and lots people getting upset otherwise ie I’ll sit where I want and sing if I want attitude.

I watched on telly and thought it was excellent second half and pretty decent first half considering we were very poor and offered little 🤷‍♂️

Maybe it depends on which part of the lounge you are sitting 🤣

The north and south will have a safe standing zone. You'd like to think the people that migrate to these areas over time will be the people who want to be involved in leading the atmosphere. It would be a strange move to want a safe standing space but also want to be one of the more low key spectators in terms of singing would it not?

Completely agree with this. And the south will be next to the away end so even better for atmosphere

Really hope the club look to help accommodate this bumy putting a couple of thousand seats in the middle of the south up for grabs for the keen singers

Personally I think the club are sort of doing their bit for this. They've said there'll very likely be a safe standing section in the south. Without saying it word for word, they're basically saying ''fans, if you want a singing section in the south, go HERE!! (points at safe standing section)'.

Quite possibly

But unless they make it really obvious and encourage it i dont think it will happen on its own
