The object of the exercise is obviously in the title. With our history, going up and down the leagues, there will be a fair few. So, come up with your total but bear in mind that the matches must be competitive fixtures ( League/FA Cup/FL Cup/Europe) not friendlies. The second part is, in your opinion, five opposing sides that we’ll never play again.

Here’s mine - total number 114. Five teams we’ll never play again - Bedford Town, Walton & Hersham, Leatherhead, Workington Town, Bury.

Over to you!

P.S. For a bit of help go onto the ‘11 v 11’ site and access Brighton and Hove Albion. There will be list of all Albion‘s opponents since we were founded.

Distance and other commitments meant I was never a regular attender (and probably watched more away games than home ones) - and definitely of the armchair fraternity now - so it's difficult to remember exactly which teams I may have watched 50 years ago! A rough count comes to 33, I think (34 if you include the U21s at Forest Green).
Teams that are no more - both away - the old Aldershot, and Southport.

Guess you mean live? 99% of the current top 4 divisions and a few of the national leagues + N/S and then a smattering of others. Purely a function of being in my sixties and having been going regularly for approaching 50 years!

(Edit: went away a lot as a youngster - not so much when family and career kicked in).

In a pile of football shirts
114 for me, but no mention of Le Havre in 2006 in that list (probably as it was a friendly) so with that added make it 115.

Good question. I have seen the Albion on 138 grounds (League, FA, League and Europa League). Friendlies, Teapot and other oddball tournaments are excluded. No Idea on the number of teams seen. maybe someone will put that stat in Futbology, but it's not a stat I have ever held.

Oh goody. A 'look at me' thread.

Not as many as you.
But did you see the preseason friendly at Eastbourne circa 2000 where Kuipers made his debut?
Standing on the terraces with a beer in one hand and a fag in the other
Marvelous scenes :lolol:

I can't normally remember who we played last week.

But 35 seasons of season ticket, plus a load of home and away cup games, must put me on a fair few

This weirdo has seen Albion play 84 away. I don't know how many at home would add. Taking a quick look I can add 9. My main watching days were in the lower leagues. I've never been to Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City or Everton. But I have been to Port Vale and Rotherham United 5 times each
