There is a huge marque in Bennets field which I guess is ready for the shop. Would be nice to put a bar in there as well. Perhaps someone cleverer than me could check if a licence has been approved for there.
Another point with the moved shop is that it will be easier to get to on non game days. No walking all around the ground, just step out of the car.
EDIT Just checked licencing and no applications.

Yes my understanding is that Dick’s bar was to close, likely now. And is replaced my the new fanzone bars & a refurbished area of the north stand concourse will also be named as Dick’s bar.

I would like to think the club is communicating with DK about the closure and hopeful relocation

Just far enough away from LDC
Ah, that's kind of sad about the closing. Only went there once, often thought about popping in, saw the queues and thought 'sod it', but it did feel like an institution.
As it didn't allow kids, I didn't go in there on a matchday

Opened this thread in trepidation based on the title, in case there’d been more images shared from Ivor Caplin’s social media account.

Relieved it’s phallus-free.
Extremely disappointed with NSC that it took 23 messages to mention Caplin.

Shameful.

Will they really make more money from a 2 storey club shop than they will from an extra bar?
Good question. TB must have the data to suggest that they will.

Was there this morning, and it is very large - no room for a bar though as they have a wide range of stock, shirt printing, a fair few tills. Forgot to take a picture inside (d'oh!), but here's the outside:

Hidden behind this is a smaller version which I guess is the stockroom for the store/maybe staff toilet facilities etc?

Chatted with one of the staff; they were also surprised how large it was; they will allow 100 people in there at a time on match days. I did ask about click & collect as that was a great option for those of us who live close (there was a training shirt I wanted, which was only available online annoyingly) and I think it was scrapped when Covid started (although could be wrong about that). It irks me to be charged a minimum of £4.95 for postage when I can just pop over there and pick it up. He said that they were hoping to reintroduce it - I guess maybe when the expansion is complete?

Definitely better than the Churchill Square shop which has most of the main items but very limited nonetheless.

As its on Bennetts field club must have decent relationship with owner. Is there any chance Club can buy this land

I've never visited the club shop on match days, but 100 at a time seems very small. When I do visit I spend around 20+ minutes and I guess the tourists who are spending the money must spend around the same time, but a lot more money.

It's on the lower park of the overall car park, next to where the disabled spaces are...does that bit still reside with the club? And the higher bit with Mr Bennett?
It is very much on the Mr Bennett owned side of Bennett’s field. Seems to be a warming relationship with the landowner in recent months……

Oh, how you gonna police that then, when half our supporters reportedly support two teams !
and can we still wear half and half scarves?
tickets same as local pubs. Found it quite annoying at Man City when they wouldn't let m in (62 at the time and on my own) as i was a potential threat whereas they let in people with half and half scarfs. Quite enjoy going into pubs where you can mingle with home fans, never had an issue.
