26/1. Kudus keeping them safe.

Not so much as Southampton, Leicester, Ipswich and probably Wolves are keeping them safe...

Another six or seven points for West Ham will very likely keep them up and while I can see them being utterly shite this spring, they're going to get those points.

I think Wolves seem to have turned a corner with thier new coach
Maybe... statistically speaking the "new manager boost" is something that will slightly increase the number of points for the first five games - I guess because it resets the poor confidence of players who have lost a lot - before the uncomfortable reality comes back to chase them. But they could well have a better spring than autumn because they should be firmly above the newcomers even if their squad is either the fourth or fifth (Everton wants a word) worst in the league.

We'll see how it plays out. Although new manager bounce doesn't always work. Eg: Man United and Southampton.
But Wolves this season had been dreadful under O'Neil, new guy probably couldn't be worse

West Ham might go for Paulo Fonseca.
They might do whatever really. I don't think they have a grand plan of any kind, they just do "sounds good"-type of things.

I just meant that they were linked to him pre Summer and he's just been sacked, so timing might be good.

Yeah some clubs would work like that but I just don't think they are that... deep.

Paulo Fonseca had hype around him in the summer so they tried to go for him (because they were always going with some sort of latino since they were seen as boring under Moyes). Now Fonseca just got sacked and won't have any hype so they might not even look in that direction. Or they could.

In the summer they signed plenty of decent players but they're all random and suited for different kinds of football. If you want to play "entertaining, attacking" football, why would you sign Wan-Bissaka as right back? If you want to dominate games, why sign a poacher like Fullkrug instead of a more complete forward?

They don't know what they're doing and I could see quite a few coaches being turned off by that.

If they were in a real relegation battle I'd put my money on David Moyes coming back. As it stands they'll just go with some random manager featuring in the news headlines.
