In some ways it’s tricky picking one person out. They were all over us for a large portion of the game but we dig deep collectively.
Its always tricky and arguably shouldn't be part of a team sport.

But it is also interesting to see how people see the game differently.

I’ve given it to Baleba. I genuinely believe that without his pace and power tracking back, we would have lost this evening.
TL had his best game in a long time too.
Baleba may be our most important player at the moment. If he gets injured we are in trouble.

I would imagine it would be a 100% for Lamptey. Some great attacking intent , a late brilliant equaliser plus some solid defending. The little man looked back to his best. Well done Tariq.
This, I was not optimistic when I saw his name in the team. It did look like he was given more licence to get forward with Estupinan out. I like the idea of playing with an attacking fullback on one side.

Lamptey. Thought he was superb and, dare I say it, looked the player we all saw at the start of his Albion tenure. Could it be that an injury free run in the side has helped him regain his confidence and that yard of pace he had lost?

I freely admit I had somewhat lost faith in Tariq, and he still has his defensive issues, but I thought he was excellent tonight.

Dunk, Joao Pedro and Baleba a level above the others. I went with Dunk because without his ball distribution (defended well as well ofc), we don't leave our own half today.

As for the others:

Bart, Lamptey and Rutter good.
Poor from Igor, Ayari, Van Hecke and Adingra (despite the goal). All the non-Rutter substitutes also firmly end up here. They didn't wake us up, Villa did. Mitoma was... almost in the basement category...
...where we today find Enciso and Gruda who both put in performances very far from Premier League standards.

Without doubt he’s our most important player. We don’t have anyone close to his ability, with his attributes, who could step in to do the role he’s doing and cover the ground he covers.

Quite frankly, it’s madness that so much is put on a kid that young, so often. We’ve seen Ayari, Hinsh, Weifer all try to play this single pivot role at times this season and none of them look even a fraction as good as he does at it.
