Sums up where the club is at. You notice him when he’s subbed on or off.

Not a top flight player.
I had to follow on radio Sussex last night as out of the country. They summed him up with an hmmmmmmmm. IMHO he needs to go out on loan to the championship. He is not yet good enough for the premiership.

likes to try and get involved, and you can see that he does have qualities, but too often games simply pass him by. think he’s a year too early for prem footy, but at this point we might as well stick it out, and he should be ready to go by next season

He was on the bench for Cov/Blackburn last year, I know young players can take leaps forward unexpectedly but they were amazed he was playing in the PL.

Meh. People said the same things about Alexis Mac Allister. Quite literally the same things. "Don't notice him", "too small" and so forth.

He's been alright according to virtually every metric and brings dynamism that is otherwise lacking. It is no coincidence that we started creating chances inside the box when he came on yesterday.

As for his "build", it appears to be infinitely better than the permainjured Feyenoord-player we bought for £30m, which is also a reason Ayari has played more than expected.

Think O'Riley will take his role in the starting eleven now but as one of two midfielders - the other being Baleba - who doesn't spend half the time in the fitness room, its wise to keep him around rather than sending him to Championship.

Oh for Billy Gilmour......watching Ayari is painful.....too lightweight....too raw.....and he comes on with the equally flakey Adingra.....and any physicality goes straight out the window. Two feather dusters trying to clean a greasy oven.
You pine for Billy Gilmour, because Ayari is ‘too lightweight’?

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahah

What's this a new NSC round of pick on a player. The guy has been pretty good , certainly better than expectations, needs to bulk a bit but he has been one of the highlights IMO.
I'm surprised it took so long. He has mid-tier scapegoat potential.

On the plus side, he's short, European, missing plenty of nice non-random long shot chances, didn't cost much and struggled in the Championship last season, not injury prone and as such won't do a Moder who people suddenly wanted as their no 10 this summer.

On the minus side, he's a midfielder so most cba blame him because they don't really know what he does, he works a little too hard and there's a risk he might end up scoring a goal or two.

But there's definitely scapegoat potential if he plays enough but he's getting scapegotian competition from March and Webster now, could be more than he can handle. Evan Ferguson might want a say as well.

Matt O’Riely & Gruda I had down as the first half class acts. Playing March as wing back could have back fired Veltman had the right side covered. No wonder he was pissed off when subbed.
March did his usual let’s blast it into row Z. Really don’t get the long awaited hype but there you go.
