Weird that there's no cool tech stuff or filter or AI or whatever that can just show the games as if there was no fog.

Liverpool copying the Arsenal corner style, with most/all players starting past the far post. Hope we follow it as well because it makes a lot of sense.

I’m quite impressed with Leicester, but I can’t help but think that Facundo would have been useful with the odd breakaways that they’re creating. I can see why Liverpool want Pedro, their centre forward isnt very good.

Gakpo timing his equaliser perfectly. Leicester have resisted stubbornly but the tide has turned.

I went to Southampton-West Ham today. We were visiting relatives near Salisbury for Christmas so it wasn’t much of a diversion.

Not the most memorable of games but Southampton look to be going a bit more direct under the new coach and could have won had their forwards been more lethal. I learn from the Guardian that the 11 shots they attempted in the first half were more than the total from their last 9 games! Fabianski was stretchered off after a horrible clash of heads. Bowen finally poked one home in the second half to give West Ham the win. Southampton will scrape a few more points together than they managed in the first half of the season but still seem destined to be relegated.

The walk back to the car was greatly lightened with the news that Chelsea had lost at home. I don’t care that Fulham are bigger rivals. It’s Chelsea. Their failure means even more to me than that.

But offside is black and white. You're either off or on. Doing things like leaving it to the on field decision leads to lawsuits and clubs holding up the season ending as the cases roll on as it could lead to clubs being relegated due to these decisions.

And wasn’t helped by the fact they had to check two offsides - both of which were very very close.

But we'll be getting semi-automated offside decisions to speed this up "after the autumn international break"......
