There haven't really been any opportunities to shoot. West Ham defending well.
Oh there have. The Pervis one being the biggest offender. He had to literally break stride to turn his body sideways which cause him to slip. That should’ve been a really good chance, but it was fluffed so badly it wouldn’t even appear on extended highlights.

But if we're going to give it away at the end of the attack anyway, we may as well have a shot and see if it deflects in or bounces off someone kindly. There was the moment when Mitoma pulled it back to Weiffer which he could have whacked goalwards. and others.

If Pedro is going to play in Welbeck’s position, then he needs to be told to go and stand on the shoulder and be a number 9. He needs to be happy to be less involved but be there when it matters
Absolutely this, in line with what I was chatting about with Swansman earlier. He’s playing the ten in actions when he’s meant to be the nine for the team.

Weiffer should have taken the shot but passed to Gruda whose poor control stalled the attack. Frustrating.

At least kicking towards fans this half. Hope he does something but Gruda not effective enough for me. Pedro at least you know he’s got it in him, misfiring tho he is

Good have for Wieffer who has done the job expected of him, growing in confidence every game

Sadly seems like Pedro has developed main character syndrome, massively overplaying and poor decision making in the first half, need to cut that feigning injury bollocks from the game as well. Hope something is said as he needs to look up and do better

Worthing
the work we do getting into their final third in a great position is very easy on the eye.

What comes after we get there. the stopping dead. 15 more passes etc is so infuriating.

When both him and Rutter want to drop and recieve the ball to feet in the pockets it’s so easy for West Ham’s back line just to step up 10 yards and make it more compact which forces us backwards. They’re also easier to pick up because the defenders don’t have to debate staying with one to mark the other as they’re both in the same space. Honestly I’d bring Ferguson on as a focal point

There's plenty of people on here who want that dullard potter back. This is the type of dross he served
I would hope “go out and play, be a star” would be the message from the gaffer.

They look very scared of being the guy who fucks up and doesn’t pass when he should, leading to nobody taking responsibility. Pedro tried a few dribbles, Rutter hit one from 30 yards, but in the key moments they aren’t taking responsibility like with the Pervis chance.
