I hate to be a pedant, but we didn't score against Palace, they scored all four goals. But otherwise I agree...it's not lack of scoring that's usually the problem so much as letting the other team score too.

Yeah we've all been in situations like this at away games and, whilst if you're not hurt, it can be part of the memories, again the club have a duty of care if someone did complain or was hurt. If it's not relevant just ignore the email would be my advice.
There were five or six spotty oiks squeezed into the spaces of just two seats in front me at Fulham.
This displaced two fans, who stood in the aisle, getting in everyone's way.
A Seagulls steward stood no more than 3m away.... and did nothing about it.
Fans should sit in their own f**king seats. The end.

Interestingly at Leicester there was a section of empty/deliberately unsold seats in the middle of the away end (not the disabled section). The stewards allowed a few people to sit there if they had been 'displaced' or wanted to move. A couple of older fellas and a lad and his son sat there, having the area to themselves. Not a bad solution for when there are 'crowd management' issues.
Maybe the ones who are doing the displacing should be moved there though?

Yep, older chap next to me moved there to get away from the coke-monsters behind us. I stayed put and imagine got so much rage-flob on my head that it'll never quite be removed however much I wash. If future generations of archaeologists dig me up any kind of DNA testing might end up very confused.

This sort of scenario is where I have a concern.
When the away ticket passing on furore took off, there was a case on here - if memory serves - where a bloke got a 50 point deduction and 10 game ban because he passed the ticket on from one son to another who couldn't make it because the trains were on strike. There was no leniency shown between what appeared genuine stories and some of the more "Jimmy Hill" or dog ate my homework ones.
The email is clearly a warning. If the genuine knobs are taking over 7 seats when they've booked 3 and the regular punters spills into the aisle, I hope I'm not reading hard luck stories from decent away fans that the aisle Gestapo have caught up with them and issued draconian punishment. We've got form for being a bit over zealous previously.
For clarity, By all means punish the absolute bell ends. The bloke at Marseille and types like that springs to mind. And yeah, everyone should absolutely sit -well, stand, in their seat (unless it hasn't sold out).
Regarding your very last sentence.....I have found some of this 'limbs' stuff to be a bit contrived. I'm all for celebrating but some of it looks like people are trying too hard to celebrate and does not look natural. A bit like Boxpark when a goal is scored, and people getting their phones out before they film themselves celebrating.
I get what you’re saying, but the only way to make the passing on away ticket rule workable is to apply the rules regardless. Otherwise everyone will have a hard luck story….in fact virtually everyone who gets caught doing anything wrong has a hard luck story as to why they did what they did.

I've stumbled across this thread and been interested to read about the problems at Fulham. Were your own or Fulham's stewards called to intervene?
There's a general feeling among Fulham fans that the away end are barely stewarded compared to the home sections, but I have seen phalanxes of stewards wading in to tackle chuckers of pyrotechnics (Palace, of course).

yes, being a twat to others is unacceptable but talking to your whole fanbase as if they’re a bunch of kids is wrong and I resent it.
The club need to tackle the people they feel are causing the issue. What’ll happen in reality is they’ll make an example of some poor sod

I don't quite understand why the club don't just track down and punish the individual(s) concerned like they did in Marseille. CCTV, tickets and seat numbers etc it won't take Dixon of Dock Green surely? Better and far more effective than issuing blanket memos that only achieve pissing the majority off seemingly.
This. It's Fulham away mid-season and a mere equaliser. Not Ulloa, Robbie or Johnny Byrne flying in at Anfield's far post!
