If the away fans are stacked up on high steep terracing of course there will be a few who fall forwards when we score. The answer would be everyone sit down, but when we score the terrace erupts in celebration, sat down or not, we all stand and jump around.
As for blocking the aisles, this is a safety issue. But getting a steward to move someone on should be easy enough.

Standing in aisles, surging when your team scores happens in every away end across the country. 'Limbs' are celebrated online and is a big part of away fan culture.

Of course it's not nice to have beer spilt on you, but I've had drinks spilt on me at gigs, at pubs, at the cricket. It just happens at places where people drink a lot of alcohol. I don't think chucking a pint in the air is a particularly nice thing to do, but I also don't think it needs an email from the club, it's the sort of thing that should be self policed, or even just a word from a steward in the ground. I don't have kids, if I did I wouldn't take them to an away match until they were old enough to not be upset by these kinds of things.

Is surging in this context when people run down the aisles towards the front of the stand?? The only time I’ve ever ‘surged’ to the row in front of me in a seated stand was at QPR when Poco’s free kick went it. It was unintentional and it bloody hurt my shins; you wouldn’t have to tell me not to do it on purpose.

I don’t think that the email is all that bad. To summarise it’s just telling us not to act like dicks. I’ve been to enough aways to know that dickish behaviour definitely happens when we take a big following. Remember that video someone posted here of that bloke in Marseille?

I'm somewhere down the middle on this one - I think the club have got the messaging badly wrong and the direction of travel is definitely a bit concerning, but twats being twats is also annoying. I'm not personally offended by the email because it's not aimed at me, but frankly of the 5% of the fanbase it's aimed at, only a tiny percentage will actually read it.

So this was Fulham (not my picture). If one person under that lot has complained or was injured the club HAVE to be seen to be doing something.
Let's be honest - the people who insist on standing in the aisles, not sitting in their allocated seats, luzzing beer and deliberately shoving rather than just surging are absolute dicks and annoy everyone else at away games. Let's also be honest - they are often the ones making the most noise and starting the most chants so it's tricky to strike the right balance I guess. Just don't be a nob.

Don't you just love it, probably the same people who were moaning that we should have safe standing are now moaning the club are concerned about fans congregating in the aisles and surging forward when goals are scored. Very noticeable at Fulham where the stewards were useless.

maybe an announcement to that effect pre match that they will be ensuring the aisles are clear and anyone preventing this will be hoicked out and/or have privileges revoked. Always seem to be plenty of them lounging around doing stuff all, just a thought.

Getting 21 year old oiks (as many steward are) to police this sort of thing is unreasonable. I wouldn't intervene in drunk, coked up or aggressive (or a mixture of all 3) football fans in aisles for £10/hr whatever my age. It would need proper security presence - people intimidating enough to actually be able to implement the rules.

I'm not planning on going round punching people, yet the government feel it NECESSARY to have a LAW saying I can't do it and that I'll be punished. It's SO condescending. Maybe if the police did their jobs and stopped people punching each other then we wouldn't need these 'laws'.

Again,.I'm not one of the guys who likes doing the punching. I just find it patronising that they feel the need to tell us but then allow things like boxing on TV.

You are right, that is ridiculous. But this picture was shown all over social media as what a great celebration, wow those Brighton lads limbs etc. All this for an equaliser in a game that we went on to lose. I wouldn't be happy if my daughter was under that lot for sure. Something similar happened to me and my son at Leeds when Bobby Zamora scored that late winner. At least it was a winner! And fortunately my son was saved by falling on Big Philly. Suspect that saved him from injury.
