If he’s happy and the club are happy to continue developing him and giving him occasional game time then so am I. Currently though he is very poor. Who knows, if we start playing well again and giving him minutes at the end of games we are winning his confidence may come back. Relying on him to kick start a struggling forward line is a bit of a risk for him and the club imo.

Frances Jeffers at Everton. Fred Macheda and Adnan Januzaj at Man Itd. I think there are loads.
Didn’t macheda basically score one good goal early in his career and then do nothing? That was media getting excited about someone rather than someone who had a great season as 18 or 19 year old.

I don’t dislike the player at all, I would love nothing more than for him to look like the player he did two years ago and start banging the goals in but he looks nowhere near capable of that at the moment.

And for a player who’s game is all about goals and offers nothing else on the pitch, his goalscoring stats are actually pretty important - another goal-less 20 plus minutes on Sunday. But you keep ignoring them if you prefer the bliss of ignorance.
The guy has started two Prem games for us this season. These weren’t consecutive. Anyone that’s ever played football to any level knows you can’t get in a rhythm with that.

But you keep digging.

Although I’d much prefer he was scoring every week with the 20 minutes he gets, of course. As I’m sure we all would. It’s just not realistic.

If he was from Sussex he would be getting all the time & patience in the world to rediscover his form.
March was what 29 before he had a reasonable season as a winger.
Whilst I agree with the principle of what you’re saying re Ferguson, that’s harsh on March. He was excellent at times as the alternative to Knockaert, then spent a lot of time on the left where he was more one dimensional, or at LWB, where he had to focus much more on the defensive side of things.

The key with him is that he played in his best position under RDZ for the first time consistently in his career, as a first choice, and suddenly he showed how good he could be. Not that shocking given the context.

RDZ instilled confidence into Solly. It was quite the bromance. And - penalty taking aside - it paid massive dividends. Will be interesting to see if new guy can do the same, or even wants to invest the time in trying to do so

According to BBC Gossip, Man City are considering a bid for Evan.
The BBC Gossip website just aggregates rumours from elsewhere. Here’s the actual source:

Which appears to be grade A bollocks, citing no sources, reasoning or connections. It’s simply the word of Jason Pettigrove at “Caught Offside”.

If Evan Ferguson is the solution to Pep's problem, then Pep hasn't properly understood the problem

So just out of interest who would take Rashford for Ferguson in a straight swap deal?

Me no thanks but it wouldn't suprise me one jot if it happened,I rate Evan and fwiw I'd be gutted if he left.
Rashford is on 300K a week, so I would be VERY surprised if a swap deal like that happened. Reality aside, he’s a player I’d love to see in the stripes.
