I’ll first admit that I’m not overly versed in this particular issue. But there seems to be an issue with people not being sent a letter regarding the change. Is there an expectation that they should? There’s been pension changes, and tax changes and law changes for that matter, in my lifetime but I’ve never expected a personal letter about these. I’m not quite understanding this.
Quite this regards getting/expecting personal letters. Mrs Amex lost out, didn’t get a letter but as she says ‘it was all over the news then and frequently mentioned over the years on and in media. Guess these 10% just never watched or read or took notice of news items in the last 20 odd years’.

As to if compensation should be made is a matter of opinion, but all I can say is that it’s a classic example of politicians leaping onto band wagons demonstrating sympathy and promising the earth to garner support but when it comes to them being in power, their opinion, or the reality of what is or isn’t possible, is a totally different beast.

interest rates held ….no surprise really given recent comments by those in the know…..the biggest concern is uncertainty…markets ..businesses do not thrive on that…lets hope for better.

Mr Bailey said: “We’ve held interest rates today following two cuts since the summer. We need to make sure we meet the 2pc inflation target on a sustained basis. We think a gradual approach to future interest rate cuts remains right, but with the heightened uncertainty in the economy we can’t commit to when or by how much we will cut rates in the coming year.”

The minutes of its latest meeting also revealed a growing split among policymakers about the extent to which the Chancellor’s maiden Budget will damage economic growth.

Three of its nine members voted for an immediate cut. However, the majority, including Mr Bailey, said recent developments had heightened their concerns about price pressures.

Businesses were reacting to the Budget with “lower headcount, hours and pay and higher prices than otherwise,” the Bank said.

Oh well many Waspi women must be rueing being doped into voting for them as many pensioners were and to think businesses were also roped in and are now looking at reducing headcounts, upping prices and in future giving lower wage increases

To add irony to insult, it's just 3 days ago that Harriet Harman accused Farage of being a threat to democracy because when in opposition he offered easy answers that cause people to distrust politicians.

But why do you cycle to a different server each time and why have you chosen one rated highly problematic?

Surely your dad, who must be in his 50s, must have told you to choose one that wasn’t a risk to your tech. Does he work in IT?
Why is everyone obsessed with age on here? If you want a date i need to know more about you first, lol. Dad says he knows all about IT, so I'm sure he does.

Have you played Alphaguess ? (it does mean leaving the political threads)

The average amount of guesses for the word is between 13-17.

I played a new game called Posterguess. It's where you have to guess the name of a non monogamous poster who appears in a Lazarus form on the forum. It took about five with you on this occasion. And I'm normally pretty slow on the uptake.

Try and make it less obvious next time. It makes the game too short.
Sorry, but is this reply for me?
