Tbh our poor performances against lower teams are the biggest threat to us rather than any difference Ferguson might make at another PL Club. Everton could be the answer instead of WHU but I think he’ll get more game time at WHU.

Acknowledged several times above abd an excellent point but how useful is he as a rotation/impact/back up for Pedro/Welbeck if he can’t get a shot in?

I think maybe it is less of an issue than it would be if we relied on no.9s for our goal distribution - our goals do come from our inverted wingers, midfielders, even full backs - Adingra has scored 4, as many goals as Pedro in open play this Season, Baleba and Mitoma have scored 3, Rutter and Minteh 2 - Welbeck 6. Lamptey and Ferdi both 2. We’d be very unlucky to lose both Pedro and Welbeck but it doesn‘t leave us completely without options.
West ham have a pretty good squad very similar to us. We are gonna look very stupid if we loan him to them and they finish above us.

Do you honestly think Ferguson is going to single-handedly move a team up 8-7 places in the table based on his form this season? If WHU finish above us this season it’s going to be because we are dropping points when we should be winning them not if we loan them a young lad who is struggling to find his Premier League level at the moment..

Ferguson has more goodwill with us than with any other club. I can't see him starting for anybody in the PL right now unless he scores a goal or two off then bench and then he might well start for us.

If he wants to start he would need to drop down to the Championship and that would be the best move for him perhaps.

Hasn’t Barber already shut this down did no one believe him?
Well they're not going to announce that anything is happening before it's done and dusted, probably weighing up options.

Didn't Hurzeler hold conferences in the summer talking about how he was excited to work with Undav?

I'm not saying Evan's definitely out the door, but I certainly think there's a possibility despite Barber's public response.

Enciso in a similar boat.

Barber has positivey stated that Evan ain't going anywhere, but hasn't said anthing similar about Enciso, AFAIK.

I’m worried he’s going to be a Gyokeres. Not sure we play a style suited to him, and he may end up going for less than he should. I’m confident he’ll prove to be a prolific striker at PL level once he reaches maturity.
I'm not worried he's be the new Gyokeres, unless he's the new Gyokeres elsewhere! Then I'll be very annoyed!

I don’t think it works like that.

Every player and every manager are ‘never going any where’ …

until it’s announced that they are

But as I said above, if that does happen, is the current Evan Ferguson even the next best option? I don’t think he is.

This isn’t a player being slightly out form for a little while. He looks way off the pace and has been really poor for over a year now. 1 club goal in his last 1,200 ish club minutes and the problem with Ferguson as a player is if he’s not scoring goals, he’s not offering anything.
I thought we’d already proven how stupid and lacking in context this 1200 minutes stat is? Are you seriously still quoting that?

Stupid because it disagrees with your opinion?

Yeah stats are crap. Glad we’re not a club driven by stats and data, how bad would we be?
Crap stats are crap stats. That’s the benefit of them. You can prove how rubbish they are.

But you keep barking up that tree if it makes you feel better to use a pointless stat to back up your dislike of one of our players.

I don’t dislike the player at all, I would love nothing more than for him to look like the player he did two years ago and start banging the goals in but he looks nowhere near capable of that at the moment.

And for a player who’s game is all about goals and offers nothing else on the pitch, his goalscoring stats are actually pretty important - another goal-less 20 plus minutes on Sunday. But you keep ignoring them if you prefer the bliss of ignorance.
